I can respect sunshine wanting the mod to compare to the BPRE comics. Okay but what is stopping you guys from making an doctrine tree or getting rid of that goofy animation that is sopossed to resemble high ready.

Hello! Thanks for making this mod! Got a question: how do I disable the red glow and the red NVG effect? I have studied the settings menu, but found none.

Can confirm, it crashed my game when starting a mission on mac too. Some shader error bs it seems, any chance you can get this fixed? Was really looking forward to trying this mod out.

fyi you must create all modded units by yourself
the game doesn't automatically create one for you
this applies to every modded unit, not just CT Ember

The mod seems to add the red nvg and the custom maps, but it doesn't add Crisis troop Ember units for me. I've tried having this mod only, still nowhere to be seen.

switchblade strike has been given to the UAV operator; TLs no longer have switchblades

Update 3:

The same issue with loading into a mission occurs without using the BPRE squad. I tried loading into a mission with the Rangers and that did not work either. Both create the same error message.

@thisguyfawkes lmk if there's anything else you want me to test if you don't have access to an M1 mac.

Maybe someone with a intel CPU in their mac could try to recreate the issue on their system.

Update to my previous comment:

MacOS is apparently a bit weird with how it handles DK2 error messages because they don't display normally. The game covers the error message so the only way to see it is alt-tabbing out and then it's only viewable for a brief second. I managed to get a recording of the error message, however.

Thanks for uploading this! Unfortunately, I can confirm that this mod does not appear to work on M1 Macs. Intel based macs may be a different story, however.

Steps to produce problem on my game:
1. Subscribe to mod
2. Open game
3. Create new squad
4a. Enter campaign
4b. Enter mission
5. Problem

It seems more like an infinite loading bug than anything else. The application does not close, nor does it say "application not responding" in activity monitor, force quit menu, or dock. The game's resource usage also seems pretty normal, no 400% CPU spike or anything like that.

If my experience is anything to go on, it has something to do with mission/campaign/ToD generation.

For photohunt, I have been testing on linux and Windows and unable to reproduce the issue one mac user told me about. So at the moment no fix is in the works because I have no idea why it won't work for mac.

If someone knows exactly whats wrong I can work on it, but until then . . .

It was only one person who told me that so it may have just been them as well. IDK at this tpoint.

for boston - still working on the other gui and audio changes. they conflict with 1.0 hard and cause CTD, I have some ideas of how to fix it but its very time intensive and I wanted to get this up working first. We will work on that next, though I'm taking a break for a bit from working on this project.
