AN/SSQ-53 (Passive S.) Detection: 0.3nm
AN/SSQ-62 (Active S.) Detection: 0.6nm

Dipping Sonar Detection (passive): No Detection
Dipping Sonar Detection (active): 1.5nm

In in deeper sea areas there was a detection at 2.5nm with the active dipping sonar. The uboat was on 380ft depth. Sonos had also a bit larger detection range. With the active sonar on destroyers i got >3.5nm.

I think it is very hard to spot this tiny little u-boat. I dont know if it is realistic.

A suggestion to fix the mission with the uboat: Start on Surface for some miles, then lets dive. So you can spot it and hunt it better.

Very nice mission. Enjoyed it even the ninja sub killed my carrier at the final stage... but as i read, there is a problem with it. i remember, i threw many sonos where it comes from. maybe delete the sub, make a new group with it and reupload? ill test it tomorrow for my self. you will hear from me :)

same, i think the sub must be under the map or something because it doesn't exist

Not sure what I'm doing wrong to deal with the sub. Had all ships active sonar on. Dropped enough sonar buoys that you could walk on them to the shore without getting your feet wet. Tried once shallow since its shallow water, tried intermittent ones, active ones. Never got a single ping until torpedoes started slamming into the carrier two missions in a row. Any suggestions?

The only problem is the bad naming of the ships.

A nice, straightforward mission you can play under 2hrs. However I did experience some errors pop up, and would suggest starting the US assets further away from the Gulf of Panama. The E-3 can operate from 200+ mi away. I also didn't see a mission briefing, not sure if that's intended.
