Calves thicker than his thighs... yeah, I dunno about that one.
Ganondorf Swagmire 1 May @ 8:30pm
voted no because of the thick puffy sausage legs

It's a good idea, but doesn't look good for Scout. Heavy and Soldier are the exception because they're already pretty big, but for Scout it just doesn't work. I consider you please remake the shorts into pants instead, get rid of the exposed legs but keep the shoes and make the socks shorter. (Also, I noticed that this literally is just the recent Soldier pants for Scout lol).
@Will T.TVR i understand but if that’s the problem maybe don’t try to make the Justice Johns again for a different class and have it come out worse

I mean with all the running Scout does, it would make sense for them to look thicker!
T60MKVI 24 Apr @ 6:38pm
justice whatevers from soldier but for scout yes:GDNormal:

@mikta
Well, you do have a point, but there's also how each class has different animations and stuff. It's a way to get around it, but yeah, it can make it look off, especially if an item can only look "ok" if worn with the another one of the same set, though it might be possible to combine into just one item if there's enough triangles to work with.

Ultimately, it's something that only Valve can resolve it by adding more bodygroups. Perhaps in the year 2053.
DJ L3G3ND 24 Apr @ 12:58pm
yeah but that doesnt mean do it anyway like this lol
Will T.TVR 24 Apr @ 12:15pm
@Oatsy-Jr Items have to be modeled over the mercs' base models, and a lot of them have weirdly-shaped pants. Since we can't remove any part of the base mesh that isn't a bodygroup provided by Valve, it's literally impossible to make thin legs.
Yakuza Merkitzi 24 Apr @ 12:11pm
As much as i like the cosmetic detail, its still a shame Valve never added a bodygroup to hide the legs entirely. that way cosmetics that has skin showing at arms/legs could perhaps have looked much less chunky.

But then again, Valve is Valve, and we know they ain't gonna add more bodygroups to the character models anytime soon.

Died Summer 2024, born whenever the fuck this was made, Welcome back Justice Johns.

God would it kill people to not make pants that make the Mercs not look diabetic?
mikta 24 Apr @ 10:52am
@Zeugziumy Frame is part of classes' identity. I cant imagine buff about or spy just like I cant imagine thin Heavy.
Nameless 24 Apr @ 7:08am
Tumor cancer legs wtf. They look like they were ripped off from another game entirely. No and I hope it never gets in.
DJ L3G3ND 24 Apr @ 5:28am
omg why do people keep doing this lmao it just does not work
glaggot 23 Apr @ 8:37pm
dude
Brok_troll 23 Apr @ 8:13pm
this is so fucking ugly
Zeugziumy 23 Apr @ 2:24pm
I feel like with cases like these were the legs are chonky (due to creators having to model it over), a cosmetic that goes over the mercenaries' arms could work. So you have both of them chonky.

Not the most ideal scenario to work around with, and I don't think this item is the worst case of having to model over. It looks okay. With TF2's limitations (or rather, lack of more bodygroups), it's perfectly serviceable.
swollen legs
Yellow Dice 23 Apr @ 1:07pm
good lord what are those legs
acres 23 Apr @ 1:03pm
The rest of the set is great! But these pants really don't do it for me. Maybe if you just had the better belt and pockets, it'd look better?

(Though I agree with jams below, we already have a lotta cosmetics like that, so it would be another drop in a large pool.)

Still, I think the rest of the set is well made!
ALI=3NS 23 Apr @ 12:42pm
not the diabetes legs :sadpanda:
jams 23 Apr @ 6:43am
if the pants were any longer it would literally just be boots and socks. and we already have boots and socks. (bootenkhamuns, brooklyn booties)

screw the discourse, this set is awesome and i’m so glad you gave it a second go!
Real Reality (Real) 22 Apr @ 10:03pm
I’m so sorry about having to cover up the model but my guy you could’ve just made the pants longer
RATEATER(on vacation) 22 Apr @ 5:19pm
or if you have a problem with it, say it here on the item that makes scout look diabetic
Zeugziumy 22 Apr @ 5:13pm
It seems the model cover up Scout's default pants? If so, could you please make his pants blue on BLU?
KEKAROO! YABBA DABBA DOO! 22 Apr @ 4:20pm
This is like that one Family Guy cutaway gag where Peter is a zookeeper.
the weed 22 Apr @ 2:41pm
the legs looool
Woshee 22 Apr @ 1:43pm
hey dumbasses, the reasons the legs look like that is due to VALVe not adding bodygroups for merc arms and legs, so if you have a problem with it, complain at the wall that is VALVe.
Angelbroth [TRANS RIGHTS!] 22 Apr @ 1:34pm
i like scout with normal sized legs. i usually hate scout but here he looks tolerable
Trumpet Player 22 Apr @ 12:00pm
Who has fatter calves now? Soldier or Scout? JK
While it is a bit, iffy it's still a well modeled cosmetic. Hope to see it at least either hexed in Gmod or on Loadout.tf
Matt 22 Apr @ 11:44am
Scout going to loose both of hes legs due to BONK! sugar content.
Please man stop trying to force these shitty skin showing cosmetics because they look abysmal
RATEATER(on vacation) 22 Apr @ 11:33am
every single cosmetic from this set is good other than this one
