Sure the same way we cut off some part of the map, we need all objects deleted. But it would be easier to swap and resized the map how we want it.
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 12 Jul @ 1:35pm
Probably only in the Map Editor with all objects deleted as it would be extremely fragile to move stuff around (i.e. your beaver at (3,3,1) is now no longer there)
cholleville 12 Jul @ 11:49am
I mean by 90° so we can switch the side it duplicate?
cholleville 12 Jul @ 11:46am
Is it possible to add the function to "rotate" the map? so after we can resize in an other way?
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 5 Jul @ 1:34am
v7.1.2: Fixed objects on top being considered "out of the map". You also have an option to see which object that prevents the resizing so it's easier to spot an issue.
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 5 Jul @ 12:41am
That's super weird, can you share your save on Discord please? You don't see any building/terrain destroyed at all? Sometimes you may need to do it twice because after the first step, it leaves rubbles, and the 2nd time to remove the rubbles, then you need to resize again (the 3rd time) to actually resize the map.
grauschweif 4 Jul @ 11:42pm
tried "remove". after resize again. it asks me to remove more, but wont change anything from there on.
can't resize this way either and no save game was created.
only tried to increase height too.
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 4 Jul @ 6:01pm
Hi, sorry for the confusion, it's indeed intended (except the part I mistakenly consider the very top object to be "out of the map"). The first "confirm" is to delete everything considered "outside of the map" so it does not crash when I shrink the map. Then after that, you need to go back to the Resize and perform an actual resize, this time with nothing outside of the map.

But if you are just increasing the upper bound and that message appears, then something is wrong. I wonder if it's related to the recent update on the "top-of-the-map" fix thingy.
grauschweif 4 Jul @ 9:03am
on diorama map, during game i tried to increase the upper bound (both height + above-ground).
but not change width or depth of map.

dialog told me "there's objects in the way and they will be removed" as if shrinking my map.

if i selected "delete" it removed top-most objects. if selected "no" it did not.

it did not create a new save game or anything after. nor did it change any bounds.

might be an edge-case when there was objects to the highest allowed level. or when just resizing upwards. don't know.
just it does not work at all and could not resize my game.

(it worked well with map editor, just not with the game)

No idea what happened, sorry, but it's solved. I searched and read the entire log and tried random stuff, now it's working and I just reinstalled all my mods and re-configured the Configuration mods I downloaded from you. Everything is working great.

Sorry the actual log content is needed (the Player.log file should be good). Can you share it on Discussion or on Discord please?
Panchito Mágico 30 Jun @ 3:51am
Woah, this is crashing so much! I had to remove it, sadly!
I have many of your mods, but this one is crashing for me.. something about the WaterMap and this:
Packing size: (256, 256, 23)…
at MapResizer.ModStarter.PrintDebug (…)
at SoilContaminationSimulator.Save…
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 26 Jun @ 6:26pm
could you send me the crash log on Discord please? and the save if possible? Are you resizing in the Map Editor or while in game? If you are enlarging, you should not need to delete anything. Also do you happen to have a water source on the edge of the map? I fixed it recently but wonder if I missed something.

p.s. Just to be sure, is your mod version 7.1.1?
IchWillDenMistNicht 26 Jun @ 1:32pm
I tried everything. Manually deleted all water and objects, saved different types of the map, it always ends with blue invisible terrain and crashes. (After returning to desktop and starting the game again to edit the map) I wanted to enlarge a map from 128 x 128 to 150 x 150. No chance at all. All other mods are deactivated, only map enlarger, Timber UI and Harmony.
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 24 Jun @ 2:42pm
v7.1.1: Finally fixed a crash when resizing maps with "underground" Water Source at the edge. Big thanks to @sank and many others who gave me a save that helped me pinpointing the issue.

I am aware of a crash caused by the Water Map but I can't reproduce it reliably. I have tried putting Water Source in all corners of the map but still no crash. Are you doing that while in game or in the map editor? Does the save take long to load? Could you share it with me on Discord please? Thank you.
sank 23 Jun @ 9:58am
all other mod turn off except Harmony and TimberUi,

when map with water source at the edge is resize, the game crashed, is this a known issue?

v7.1.0: Added Free Camera.
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 13 Jun @ 2:39pm
@Crow is your save big/take a lot of time to load? Could you send me the save file on Discord please? I am aware of an issue but cannot find out why but the save I got was too big to track down what causes it.
Crow 13 Jun @ 2:23pm
@Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞ No, this is on main branch
Speedsaber 9 Jun @ 11:04pm
i posted a message under mod users

I added the Discord info to the mod description :)
Speedsaber 9 Jun @ 10:26pm
sure thing, sent you a friend request then we can PM each other to send discord info unless you have a channel in mind
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 9 Jun @ 9:49pm
Could you send me the save and the info you are trying to do on Discord please? Thanks! Also are you on the EXP branch?
Speedsaber 9 Jun @ 9:37pm
this error occurs whenever I attempt to increase height on my existing save. long story short I am trying to plant grass on top of some aqueducts to have a farm up there.

IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array.

Speedsaber 9 Jun @ 11:27am
Ill get the info for that tonight, sorry it can't be sooner luke.
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 8 Jun @ 11:54pm
@Crow thanks for the log. Is that the EXP branch?
@Speedsaber is there any error in the log? At least the game should crash maybe? Did you see the dialog that offers you to load the newly created save?
Speedsaber 8 Jun @ 11:49pm
the mod doesnt seem to be adding a new save to the game that is resized.
Crow 8 Jun @ 12:29pm
I can't seem to get this to resize without crashing. The map I'm editing is a 256x256, and I'm just trying to resize it to increase terrain height with no other changes, but instead of making a save it just gives me a game crash.

No other mods installed other than this mod + its dependencies.
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 2 Jun @ 5:25pm
Yeah right now I only resize from the (0, 0, 0) anchor because it can perform "live" resize on live game. I guess if I can delete stuff then it's possible to allow resizing from other anchor point.
Nibbles 2 Jun @ 4:59pm
@Cookiesnm1lk
i tried doing that in the map editor but it requires deleting all natural resources then recreating them, which takes a while. i was curious if there was a way this mod could simplify this for me and if not maybe itll give luke an idea to add the feature if possible :D
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 2 Jun @ 2:35pm
v7.0.2: Should work with June 2nd update.
Cookiesnm1lk 30 May @ 7:02pm
well you could just increase everything's height and then work down from there
Nibbles 30 May @ 3:05pm
can this add depth to a map? like if you like how a map looks but want it deeper so you could make basins and stuff. idk if that makes sense, im trying out a new map but its river is on the bottom layer and i want to use explosives to deepen it but cant do that on bottom layer.
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 27 May @ 8:55am
Someone reported it crashes on the EXP branch due to file changes. I will fix it once that update goes to the live branch.
NoOne_ReaVen 27 May @ 2:21am
I tried to increase a Map of 150x150x23 to 175x175x40 it caused an imidiate exception and crash, but I have still got processing power
MrYanYe 24 May @ 10:22pm
Thanks for your reply~ That is to say, it is similar to voxels, 3D voxels.
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 24 May @ 1:28pm
There is no limit. The limit is your (and the player's) computing power. In theory, a 256x256x32 (the game's default max) use the same computation power as a 32x32x2048 size map.
MrYanYe 24 May @ 11:48am
Hello, I am creating a new archive, and I want to make a setting with unlimited or very high height. In your settings, I don't see an upper limit for the height. Is there an upper limit? If so, what is the upper limit? Or will a height that is too high cause the archive to crash later?
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 23 May @ 8:59am
Oh I got what you meant. Then yeah it's not supported, sorry.
Maelish 23 May @ 7:13am
I mean picking the left side or right side of the map. It always reduces from the same corner.
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 22 May @ 10:19am
Do you mean it only works for X or Y? I tried with both side when testing (for example resizing 100x100 down to 50x50).
Maelish 22 May @ 5:59am
Shrinking the map seems to only work on 1 side. But I need the other side removed. How can I do that?
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 17 May @ 7:40pm
v7.0.1: Fixed a crash when creating a new map.

Thanks for the report @CeruleanTheOranda!
CeruleanTheOranda 17 May @ 12:47pm
First of all, thank you for all the amazing mods. Second, for whatever reason I cannot create a new map while this mod is enabled. I can edit existing maps no problem.
Janleon 8 May @ 11:46pm
thx a lot for this very nice tool! Working on an epic 399x399 Map thx to you!
Luke ✞ Jesus Saves ✞  [author] 26 Apr @ 8:40am
It's included in my other mod TImprove . You can use that one for that feature :)
BoNes 26 Apr @ 6:58am
Great to be able to increase the build height limit. Awesome job!

I did happen to notice that this version doesn't have the free camera, and that was a very useful feature of the previous version. Could you possibly please include it again? Thank you.
MrYanYe 26 Apr @ 2:44am
Thanks so much for the update, the new features are really cool!
