Thanks for the reply. I found out, whats causing this. The problem was, that the badwater would stay in the little underground pockets for a long time, even after a tide, mixing in with the fresh water. When I wrote my first comment I haven*t realized, how long the underground waterway from the source to the starting area really was. So I basically had a badwater tide, which seemed to have changed nothing at my starting area, some days later after the tide had already ended, the badwater arrived at my starting area, which confused me. So TL:DR the problem was the time offset due to the long waterway and the underground pockets with low flow bleeding badwater into the main stream

Thank you very much for your comment larinu. I'm sorry that you're having problems with the Badwater. Unfortunately, I've never heard of water sources suddenly spewing out Badwater or mixed water, either on this map or in general. Did you build a lock that filters out the Badwater and channels it outside while Badwater is appearing? Without having any idea what happened in the save or with the file, the only idea I have is to make a canal with TNT to the edge of the map, let all the water drain out of the water cycle during the next drought, and then see/hope that the problem doesn't occur again.

First let me say: I really love this map. The idea with the starting water source is amazing. However over 10h I started to notice the starting source acting a bit weird after the first badtide. The first 1-2 badtites, no badwater seemed to arrive at source. Now, after a drought, only mixed-badwater seems to emerging from the source. The badwater-rate seems to swing between 10% and 50%, however it't over two weeks ingame, since I've seen clear water. It's a bit frustrating to see everything going down, because of constant badwater at the main-source for no apperant reason

I highly recommend Kiwi's videos/streams and builds! He has some really great ideas that I didn't think of when creating the map, and the streams are always fun!

It is punishing but I prefer the extreme challenge, this map makes it all the more interesting. I love the way you set up the water source for the starting area. Combined with the difficulty increase I am having a great time. It will be a long playthrough! Great work.
