@Very stupid, no smarts here Thank you so much for all your help and suggestions! I'm still looking for some better replacements for things like the witch and tank music. I'll have separated test versions of each out soon. For the safe room music I am still struggling to get everything equally quiet due to how tedious it is to get them matched up, but I will figure that out in time.

It's amazing, absolutely amazing what you've done and I'm impressed how well most of the SI cues fit them (Bloaty's for the Spitter... genius!)

of course, there remains a few stinkers, noteably the menu themes are hardly audible and the Witch and Tank themes are quieter, in general there's a noteworthy sense of auditory imabalance with some tracks being louder than others

however, the chase, saferoom, death themes are perfect, I would maybe tone down the saferoom ever so slightly but this is a minor nitpick

this mod is absolutely perfect for a nerd like me and just what I needed to personalize L4D2, I would suggest releasing separate addons for the Tank theme as a sort of playtest to see which would work best, Zim's little mistake was good but had the problem of being quiet and the current theme loops way too soon, probably because of the track's actual length

Okay, having played around with it some more I've noticed many improvements

-the saferoom entry music is perfect, it's the matching length and perfectly audible
-whatever you used to replace taank with is great, and despite my previous suggestion I think it should be the base tank theme

more audio tuning is needed as the gunfight, infected screaming, the survivors screaming, can almost completely drown out the music but I have high hopes in this project

@Very stupid, no smarts here Nah ur all good! ty for the suggestions. the playlist u sent was the goldmine i needed so i should be able to find and replace all of the lq versions. And for the tank music i was able extend "Zim's Little Mistake" enough for just the 52 second tank music, but beyond that would extend it too much so I'll use the hq "Lice Queen" for taank until/unless i find something else.

Ok ok ok sorry if I type too much but maybe the tank theme can stay as it is but I'm sure they're more action-y tracks, much of Zim's ost is under 1 minute long since the episodes are just over 11 minutes long, all I can hope for is for the audio to be equal to the base L4D2 ost since MANY addons tend to be way to quiet

Modding L4D2's audio is extremely asinine, but if there is a suggestion I can make, then that would be replacing the tank theme with "Zim's little mistake" which starts at 4:06, the first videos in the playlist contain the soundtrack to the first aired episodes, really there's a bunch of mixing and mashing that could be done

@Very stupid, no smarts here Yeah, i saw that there were multiple upload versions so i got the highest quality i could for most of them but there were some that i couldn't find other uploads of tho so i just went with them cuz they fitted too well. The soundtrack wasn't released very widely also so not many uploads exists besides ones ripped from a miniCD with 325 tracks, or the radio stream they did over 15 years ago. If any hq versions of the lq ones are found tho plz lmk and i'll replace them.

Did you rip these from online? like just from a general search, because on youtube there're a few good playlists that have these tracks in higher quality
