And you WILL have it in you mod list when you load up the game. That's how I do it nowadays, actually. I just manually download all of the Civ 5 mods that I want and I put them in to the Mods folder or take them out, depending on what I want to play that time.
- Go to [thisPC]/Documents/MyGames/SidMeier's Civ 5/MODS folder.
- You should find a empty folder named 40k Imperium of Man (or something like it) and then a mod file in the MODS folder.
- Simply move the mod file to the correct folder and it should show up in the game.

1. Locate the mod by going C: / users / username / Documents / My Games / Sid Meier's Civilization V / MODS
2. You will see that it is not a folder, but a single file. Rename the end line of it from ".civ5mod" to ".zip"
3. Create a new folder with the mod name inside the MODS folder
4. Unzip the file inside the folder you've just created.
Now you should have the mod folder inside the MODS folder of the game, just like any other mod would be.
