Seconding what hannibal said. A big problem with the original mod is there's only a few custom maps so they get stale quick.

Or maybe you could make a version that doesn't use custom maps and just uses the Warband's random map generator?

For porting it to GA, are you going to change around the disparate pricing? Like getting only 10 centimes per week as a soldier but having to pay 1000 for each soldier
