I had an idea related to this mod.

Adding a new button in the difficulty selection system, like back when it used to say "Custom", that can be renamed to whatever in the settings, perhaps on both sides of the thing like for example a "Very Easy" and a "Very Hard" that can be saved for later. So you can set up two preset difficulties to begin your game with.
