I think it would be better if the heated metal was a smaller tertiary texture rather than such a big primary texture, since it makes huge sections of the weapon model a mix of colours. Some experimentation with other bases may be in order.
This is fantastic. Now that I'm looking on a higher resolution screen instead of my phone, I can see the excellent texture detail. Love the variety and great execution. Hope it makes it in game!
I'd probably also love a version where it's mostly regular titanium-colored, but only the tips have a variable tempered gradient; or maybe one where the tempering is a custom wear?
