Why You always making huge and complicated maps!?
There is a scaling issue going from a few hundred playtesters (if you're lucky) to hundreds of thousands, which is unfortunately just a reality of community map testing, so we can always use the help.
I iterated the map around 16 times as Sewer before we did the Mannhole reskin, adjusting gameplay for feedback and based off how my testing went. Not everyone loved the map, it's pretty much impossible to please everyone, but overall the testing has been very positive.
We played it last night on my testing server and the first round was a double overtime down to the wire back and forth. The second round had some back and forth but wasn't as perfectly even, but Blu won both rounds so the auto team scramble kicked in and threw off the team balance entirely for an almost complete shut out on the third round.
I'm absolutely tired of how long this trend has been going on for with mapmakers prioritizing a map's looks over how well it plays, and those maps getting selected. I don't care about how pretty your map looks or the rats running around, I care about how good or fun it is to play on, otherwise it won't matter.
I absolutely refuse to believe the playtesting that took place here had mostly positive reception with how little space there is to do anything here, if there was any playtesting at all. I don't even want to imagine how much worse Sewer is to play with the enemy Rat NPCs.
Weak part of a very weak map selection this Summer.
Now we just need a map named big white man cheeks, or big white d!k or sum idk.
