So im curious, right next to the Spamton dumpster theres a wall of graffiti, two of the words are "James" and "Randal"

I was wondering if this is a reference to the GTARP streamer Spaceboy, or just two random names on a wall?

I'm editing the TF2 wiki and I have a question. Is the dumpster outside of RED's base with pink and yellow eyes a reference to Deltarune? Also, is the trash can with Saxton's hat a reference to the cover of the first TF comic. I need creator confirmation to add it to the wiki. Thank you.

Thought the map was too engi-centric at first, and it certainly can be, but after more playing it actually works really well. I love the size of this map, and think a 3cp version would be kinda baller to get people to see the rest of it more.

I wrote a ridiculously long comment about how much I don't like this map and my many gripes with it but I reconsidered sending it cause it's just a whole lot of whining. I really didn't like this map and wasted a solid hour writing about it. Have a nice evening.

feels like kingjengo is just being negative for the sake of being negative, since most of the new maps are fine, aint that different from any of the other maps currently in the game, including the old ones

I test maps almost every Friday night on my server, working on my next projects, so you are more than welcome to join and see for yourself.

There is a scaling issue going from a few hundred playtesters (if you're lucky) to hundreds of thousands, which is unfortunately just a reality of community map testing, so we can always use the help.

KingJengo, I respect your opinion on not liking the map, and I understand it's not going to be for everyone, but we absolutely play tested the hell out of it, going as far back as February of 2024 for the earliest version.

I iterated the map around 16 times as Sewer before we did the Mannhole reskin, adjusting gameplay for feedback and based off how my testing went. Not everyone loved the map, it's pretty much impossible to please everyone, but overall the testing has been very positive.

We played it last night on my testing server and the first round was a double overtime down to the wire back and forth. The second round had some back and forth but wasn't as perfectly even, but Blu won both rounds so the auto team scramble kicked in and threw off the team balance entirely for an almost complete shut out on the third round.

I generally respect your official maps, but unfortunately this is one I think is inexcusable. Much like many of the other maps that got in this Summer, the gameplay space is way too cramped and overall unfun.

I'm absolutely tired of how long this trend has been going on for with mapmakers prioritizing a map's looks over how well it plays, and those maps getting selected. I don't care about how pretty your map looks or the rats running around, I care about how good or fun it is to play on, otherwise it won't matter.

I absolutely refuse to believe the playtesting that took place here had mostly positive reception with how little space there is to do anything here, if there was any playtesting at all. I don't even want to imagine how much worse Sewer is to play with the enemy Rat NPCs.

Weak part of a very weak map selection this Summer.

I, too, love man hole! Amazing that a map naming one of my favorite things in the world, is being added.

Now we just need a map named big white man cheeks, or big white d!k or sum idk.

you could make a crane that from time to time starts moving a platform. a platform that you can hop on it and get a ride closer to the control area or somewhere higher

That's surprising to hear, to be honest, we had a lot of back and forth in testing. That said, we tested the Sewer version more than Mannhole, so it's possible the rat NPCs were helping break up the mid hold a bit. I can look into some tweaks to help recaptures and do some more testing.

as much as i like this map its not super fun to play. i play on a server that runs this pretty often and once a teams caps the other team can almost never dislodge them. very cool map but needs a rebalance imo
