this mod causes certain textures to stretch, see the manhole cover on the first map of no mercy near the police car. it sometimes stretches other textures and decals, brick walls, floors, check the parish level just after the bridge bombing at the entrance to cemetery

One of the _many_ things that can cause the Back to School finale to crash. (They mentioned blood mods making it crash and why, but never mentioned anything about where. I thought this'll be fine since it doesn't change the size or shape, but nope. It's just something Source doesn't like.)

Some of the blood becomes transparent if you shine a flashlight at them. The normal blood doesn't do this, even when using the script that increases blood decal limit. Sometimes the blood fails to overlap and just disappears at certain angles. Only having issues with this one. Looks good regardless.

You could use the mod called HD vanilla blood mod.
if you could upscale the decals, it would be even better
some of them also appear very pale, please make them more red

checked molotov scorch materials and they should work fine on models like in csgo but they just dont for some reason lol who cares

im away at the weekend so i applied a shit brute force fix for now

@XENORT tried that initially but then the envmap just did nothing so i pulled one from death toll 2

this is honestly great I just wish it appeared more on surfaces, only like 50% of the time it shows it after shooting infected. It might be something on my end I don't really know.

the one you made for CSGO looked better imo, mostly due to a different envmap (which is a pain in the ass to properly convert to 7.4 vtf)
anyway, I managed to convert the envmap in question to L4D2 format not long time ago. I would've posted the link here, but I'm afraid steam will drill me in the ass for that.
