@Ty7an they're animals. you find them in the wild or buy them from a trader.
Ty7an 14 hours ago
I can't seem to create them at crafting spot. Can someone please explain how to make them appear/craft‽
JayleeVT 15 hours ago
Yay thank you for making it so the dust bunnies can be quiet while monching :3 :3 Now it's the best mod ever
Crow  [author] 19 Jul @ 11:00am
@Norvito forsake everything for them. you are lost.
Norvito 19 Jul @ 7:31am
I am 100 dust bunnies deep in my colony, valued at 36k and being almost 50% of my colony's wealth. I started with two, and don't have the heart to sell them off. Send help.
Crow  [author] 18 Jul @ 10:55am
@Zairya @AmCh LMAO thank you two for the report and the fix! Thats actually hilarious
AmCh 18 Jul @ 9:08am
Hi Crow!
I am the mod author of NeedBarOverflow, I will add the dust bunnies to the default list of excluded pawns in my mod. Let me know if you think there's a better fix but you can consider the mod compatibility fixed on my side!
Zairya 17 Jul @ 11:18pm
Hi Crow,

just to let you know:
When you use dust bunnies together with need bar overflow, they eat until 1042% hunger bar (and probably higher). because they can't vomit like normal pawns, they don't stop which is in itself hilarious. I fixed this by excluding dust bunnies per need bar overflows options. it's probably possible to add them with a patch too.
It is funny and I don't think someone will complain about it.
Crow  [author] 17 Jul @ 1:56pm
@SadKoi It can either show up on the map like any other animal or it can be sold as a pet. If it's not there already give it some time, it's just RNG.
SadKoi 17 Jul @ 1:41pm
Hey, how do I first get a dust bunny to spawn?
Zairya 14 Jul @ 12:39pm
Thank you very much!
Crow  [author] 14 Jul @ 11:49am
@Zairya Hey there! I just sent out an update where they're much easier to tame.
I also tried tweaking their hunger, but it wasn't working too well so I've switched them to rough vegetarians for now.
So they'll eat grass when starving and you'll be able to tame them with veggies!
Zairya 14 Jul @ 5:05am
Hi Crow,

is it possible to make dust bunnies stay on the map longer? I have 2-3 when i start a new run but they leave the map because they're hungry before I get to making kibble.
So, if you could tune down their hunger rate and up it when they're tamed, that would help a lot. I haven't had a trader selling them either :steamsad:
Crow  [author] 13 Jul @ 10:27am
@Deggial that is beautiful
Deggial 13 Jul @ 8:20am
Okay.

I Don't know, if this is creepy or cute.

I gave my Dust Bunnies the "baby giggling" sound.
Now they roam my gravship like ... happy bunnies.

Is this weird?
Crow  [author] 12 Jul @ 2:14pm
@子鱼丶I can't seem to get this error to come up in my game, maybe it's a mod conflict?
эвил заза 12 Jul @ 1:54pm
bnuuy
子鱼丶 12 Jul @ 6:53am
1.6 The game will constantly prompt that the Dust Rabbit is not in the animal pen, hoping to fix it。o7
Crow  [author] 6 Jul @ 11:56am
@Zairya Any type, even rock rubble. They'll only eat kibble if they're below half their hunger bar, so yeah they eat filth first and only resort to kibble if they don't have any filth around.
Zairya 6 Jul @ 2:32am
Do they eat any type of filth and do thye prioritize filth over kibble?
I used alpha animals amoebia (those semi-transparant slime ceatures) before and they were... not very helpful.
I like to play with Hospital (Hospitality series) and keeping those clean can be a hassle. Do you think the bunnies can help or would they starve? I'm a bit relactant to try them but they're really cute. Much cuter than Sims4 dust bunnies.
Urlkiller 4 Jul @ 8:43pm
im glad I could make your day better. Happy Independence Day (If youre american)
Crow  [author] 4 Jul @ 1:04pm
@Urlkiller Thank you so much <3 Honestly it makes my day whenever anyone leaves a comment just complimenting the mod.
Urlkiller 3 Jul @ 2:14pm
its all good, we all take inspiration from crazy random places. Sims 4 or not, this looks super cool so nice job :)
Crow  [author] 3 Jul @ 11:30am
@Urlkiller Kind of? I am a Sims 4 player but I don't use the Bust the Dust Pack, so maybe subconsciously? Maybe my idea of what a dust bunny is was shaped by it lmao.
Urlkiller 2 Jul @ 10:43pm
are these based on the sims 4 dust bunnies?
EstusBot 29 Jun @ 4:52pm
Amazing work. I love you.
Crow  [author] 22 Jun @ 4:32pm
Update:
•1.5 now uses the new MapComponent logic, reducing lag.
•1.5 now has all Mod Options available.
Crow  [author] 22 Jun @ 3:43pm
@Stryyyder You're on 1.5? I just checked and for some reason the warning isn't there, I think things got messed up when I updated to 1.6 and things got mixed, sorry about that. I'll work on a fix rn.
Crow  [author] 22 Jun @ 3:37pm
@Stryyyder It says it right next to the options that Anomaly is required.
Stryyyder 22 Jun @ 1:23pm
yes that i what i am referring to
Crow  [author] 22 Jun @ 12:54pm
@Stryyyde You only need Anomaly for the bunny multiplier.
Stryyyder 22 Jun @ 12:52pm
please consider adding a hover-over in the mod settings mentioning that you need anomaly </3 i killed her
Crow  [author] 21 Jun @ 7:27pm
@Björne Update the mod by unsubscribing and subscribing again, I had forgotten to add the fixes to 1.5 but its all fixed now.
Björne 21 Jun @ 12:11pm
I started a run in v1.5 without any of the game’s DLCs, and thirty minutes later there were at least ten bunnies eating away at my stash of rations. I was killed by a manhunter bunny within those thirty minutes. They didn’t eat any filth. :(
Crow  [author] 21 Jun @ 10:49am
@ahnkra I am a Sims 4 player, hehe. Everything below seems to be fixed and you should be okay as long as you don't enable the multiply option(It's off by default). I can't really tweak it right now because I lost access to Anomaly.
ahnkra 21 Jun @ 10:01am
I am getting serious Sims 4 vibes from this mod lol. I really want to sub, but I am scarred by some of the comments. I would like an alternative to having to start my games with a 'summoner' and using those floating meatballs to handle all the colony cleaning,.. but are these guys still taking over the map?
RoughXvr 18 Jun @ 2:40am
Working better after a reinstall, they die now finally.
Crow  [author] 17 Jun @ 7:47pm
Update:
•Dust Bunnies now only eat Kibble and FIlth
•Dust Bunnies will now spawn in smaller numbers
•Dust Bunnies now breed less Dust Puppies.
•Improved cleaning code by using a MapComponent instead of relying on individual checks.
•Removed Debug Text.

Don't forget to unsubscribe and subscribe to update.
Crow  [author] 17 Jun @ 3:21pm
@MrXarous Those are some good suggestions, I'll be testing some of those tomorrow. The logs weren't supposed to be showing unless you have debug mode active so I'll be taking a second look at them too.
Having them not eat anything was my original idea from the start, but I was afraid they'd starve too easily but I'll try it out and see if it's feasible.
MrXarous 17 Jun @ 2:09pm
What's the tps impact on these guys? Just starting a new game in 1.6 and nine were in the wild already and in the first 2 mins they had over 5000 lines in the log with around 227 calls for clean filth. I guess they couldn't find any to sate their hunger as they then bolted to my colonist trying to haul all the scattered meals and each one ate a .9 nutrition meal for their .18 hunger.

Would it be better to increase their eco weight so not so many would be on the map at the same time?

Do they actually sustain themselves off filth if they find some? If so, wouldn't it be best to have your call for the cleaning but change their diet to None or at least OmnivoreRoughAnimal so they'd eat live plants and possibly not my food while I'm trying to get started?

If they eat food can I just change the mtb from .2 to something higher for their cleaning?
Crow  [author] 17 Jun @ 10:23am
Just added two buttons to the mod settings:

•Kill All Bunnnies
•Kill Only Wild Bunnies

If you have way too many in your map, simply click one of those and the problem will be taken care of. Don't forget to unsubscribe and subscribe for the update, the button is available on both 1.5 and 1.6
RoughXvr 17 Jun @ 3:06am
The world is ending, not in war, but in dust bunnies.... i need help they keep dividing i did toogle off, they keep sending manhunter pulses making them insane i have more than 100 off those devils in the map!
Crow  [author] 16 Jun @ 11:39am
@Creed Diskenth Hey there! How many bunnies did you have on the map? Was debug mode on? Just so I know how to proceed regarding this.
Creed Diskenth 16 Jun @ 10:43am
Hey. Love your mod, I was playing with it on a new 1.6 run, late game there was a huge drop in tps from your mod, I took a look at the debug log at that time, it seems that the game was evaluating cleaning task for dust bunnies too much and that kinda tanked the tps. Not sure if this was reported or not but thought i'd leave it here. But on other note great mod love that my base is squeaky clean haha
Crow  [author] 11 Jun @ 8:51pm
Fix has been released, the bunnies are cleaning again!
I don't have access to Anomaly for now so the bunny multiplier test will have to wait, do let me know if it's bugging out tho!
Crow  [author] 11 Jun @ 8:24pm
Dust Bunnies is confirmed broken on 1.6.
I'm working on a fix right now.
Crow  [author] 9 Jun @ 12:00pm
@SadPlastic Please update the mod by unsubscribing and subscribing again.
SadPlastic 9 Jun @ 6:09am
It's a bit tricky because when my colonists kill a dust bunny, it multiplies into 3.. now my colony is full of dust bunnys with low fps lol. Is there way I can disable the multiplies bunny?.. The only option is only changed sound options
Crow  [author] 7 Jun @ 9:10pm
@Ariexe Check the mod settings, there's an option to either change it or disable it. If you don't have the mod option, unsubscribe and subscribe again to update.
Ariexe 7 Jun @ 5:19pm
is there a way to mute the sounds the dust bunnies make when eating dirt? it sounds like a really fast digging SFX at high speed and its kind of annoying and makes streaming difficult.
