I would not be able to put my saved game on steam it is too big with nearly 2000 mods. Reference the requested mod. I will consider this and maybe in a future mod

Great Job! I love the quality of the assets.

It's not a matter of the file size, but of the need of resources for only a few mods. Mods that are still really good looking, but they just use too many resources. I'm sure there is a way to make the models less big without a big loss of quality.

I am splitting the Mod into 2 mods.... on as Greenhouses and as Garden Assets. Greenhouse Mod is 1.19gb, the Garden Assets is 463mb. Will that work

Perhaps try removing detailing from the interior of one greenhouse, leaving just the framework and the glass and then recheck the tri count in the Model Editor when it's been re-exported.

If that makes no appreciable difference, remove the glass and check again. This way, by gradual process of elimination, it will be possible to find where all the triangles are coming from!

What if I took the plants out of the greenhouses I am sure it will drop in number.
Quince99 16 May @ 10:34am
Looking at these models, I can tell that the issues are with the number of triangles in the meshes, but having no 3D modelling expertise to speak of, I haven't got an immediate solution.

As an example, your first greenhouse contains 4,528,986 triangles whereas one of Tankslapper's Deltics (yes, OK I picked my favourite loco for comparison) contains 59,928 for the entire locomotive.

Definitely check transportfever.net , even if you need to translate the German, perhaps ask in a thread about reducing number of triangles whilst still maintaining a clear, detailed model.

Best thing I can do is take this mod down. I asked for help before but know one would help. I will leave it until tomorrow. If you want to keep it back it up and save it as a non-Steam Model. I may upload as to separate mods over the weekend.

2 gb is a bit over the top indeed. @Adie, guys at the .net might be able to help. Siri and such know a lot of tricks... please do, since your work is awesome, but to hard on an average PC

If some can help me with a solution then it will very much appreciated.

Sorry, i can just second what others already said. It looks really really nice, but you should work on the sizes of some of your models. I know that you don't like to hear that and i really dont want to write this to hurt you, but it's just not useful in that shape. And this is quite sad, because your models are otherwise really great!

Perhaps you can find a solution or a workaround for your next projects or somebody who's willing to help :)

Sorry. Not much I can do about it
Odo09 16 May @ 6:12am
Oh wow, a very great set, but I won't upload it because it's too big, sorry.
Adie Gibbs  [author] 16 May @ 3:37am
I did mention in the discription it was a large file
Michal9787 16 May @ 3:14am
Why is this 1.5 gb in size?
