Pawn eats without table, bonks their head, goes on a rampage. I love it.

I know Neat Storage works fine in 1.4, so I think this might work too. You could probably use it as is. (but not 100% sure)
Anyway, the problem is not yours. The issue is that I made a half-finished mod.
I also confirmed that items don’t go on the campfire. Thank you for the report. Most workbenches work fine, but honestly, I don’t know why items don’t go on places like the tool cabinet. Sorry.
Meat doesn't get hauled to the shelves, so what about other items? I haven't fully figured it out, but it seems items aren't placed on shelves that are on top of certain buildings—like walls or structures treated as walls.
Otherwise, amazing mod, there was this mod long ago that had bunk beds with the similar idea of having beds on top of work benches and similar furniture, and wished that there was one that does storage instead, thank you for making this a reality
Thank you. It's always really encouraging to hear praise like that.
Your profile pic is also an absolute winner. Love it!
I appreciate the suggestion, but I think you can already see underneath well enough.
In the Storage tab. Also, make sure the Smithing research is completed.
You can literally place them anywhere.
