I love this mod :D will you make this customizable in config such as cooldown or lunge power? the only thing i dont like is i have to press r to look up, it will be cool if this will be customizable in config to change the controls if possible.

You can add the lunge attack for hunter bots as a separate script, so they will have a new attack. PLEASE :)

@Pluvillion it's a massive advantage to human players being able to lunge freely without crouching, and it also can push survivors around so you can instakill them on death pits

You're in luck, I have a script in the works that gives human tanks the ability to automatically do taunt animations after hitting rocks or punching low health survivors.

@Pluvillion In the early days of l4d, the lunge move as far as im concerned was used both offensively and defensively (like my mod allows), but the only thing the lunge attack did was push away people without any bonus damage or anything.

Considering all the footage I see of the lunge being used offensively has the hunter player get obliterated without doing anything much, Valve likely considered the ability redundant when compared to the pounce, which might be why they dumbed it down to an escape ability that only the AI uses in campaign mode.

Why is it exclusive to the AI? Might be because of valve wanting versus to be fast paced, which means that special infected should be attacking as quick as possible, hence why didn't they like the idea of a human player trying to run away after failing a pounce instead of keeping pressure on the survivors.
