you need to place that folder inside the mods folder, so you can load it ingame ;-)
you can rename the folder what ever you want, no need to stay at those irritating numbers, but if you upload it dont forget to change the thumb.jpg and it will change to a unique number again! ;-)
it isnt that difficult to make what you requested by yourself!
1. just copy the id of this page and search for it in your mods folder.
2. open it via winrar, 7zip or any other archive program and extract its contents into a new folder.
3. you can open sbc files with every text editor (i recommend notepad++, the file format is xml ;-)
4. look what he does and compare it with the default code from the original (whereever you installed)Steam\SteamApps\common\SpaceEngineers\Content\Data \CubeBlocks.sbc, where you also find your pilot seat ;-)
5. copy needed code of the pilot seat and replace the control station in your mod folder - but remember to change uid (in this game subtype id) if you want a new block, but then you need to define it in the BlockCategories.sbc too! ;-)
- its rly not that hard and the worst thing that can happen is that it wont work - so happy try&error ;-)
What would be nicest of all is if this "default replacement" version also added in a non-default "vanilla style" control station that allowed control, so that we could still thematically use cockpits in enclosed rooms (e.g., central core bridges), while still limiting control for most stations. (I would even go so far as to suggest that such a "Flight Control Station" would require slightly more computer resources than a basic station.)
very much needed thank u vary much,Shogun likes
but i just have to say thanks, hopefully keen will update theire controlstations later with maybe a fully funktional camera screen^^
There are still perfectly functional vanilla cockpits and flight seats.
Also note that the change is not permanent, if you remove the mod the control stations will revert to their default behaviour.
I made this so that I could avoid accidentally moving my carrier around when getting into my drone control stations.
