When i have the mod active and load my creative world. it says it "cant download the mod, check the world settings." Are you currently working on the update @Fingersniffer?
Gamerforlife 1 May, 2023 @ 12:50am
@Fingersniffer OK cool TY. Just please don't make it any weaker as I like them just as they are. :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:
Fingersniffer  [author] 30 Apr, 2023 @ 7:55pm
@HeavyGamer I've been away from SE for almost a decade, and as such the mod has become woefully out of date. I have recently started playing again and I'll look into updating this mod to the current format.
Gamerforlife 29 Apr, 2023 @ 6:22pm
OMG! Thank you so much for this mod and the mod I was looking for. I have an 80,000,000 KG ship and growing and with 4 of these it gyroscopes just nicely. Only thing is though (and this is just cosmetic) but the texture for me is just black and I mean solid black so it's missing it's texture for sure but I can just build some blocks around it for the function and use another one for the ascetics lol. Anyway thanks again for this mod and keep up the good work for those of use non immersion driven players. :steamhappy:

Could we please get this for small ships? I build a lot of small ships gone wild but although there are thruster mods to make them move, there is no super gyro. Well theres one that is x1000 but its either bugged or not enough power. They are mostly showcase ships so they don't have to be functional but it would sure be nice.
osmacar 16 Sep, 2019 @ 8:29am
my issue is it comes up as pink just no textures found pink
matthewvogt 1 Apr, 2019 @ 10:55am
this mod works but it freaked out with auto iolit scripts even at a low power. but its great
Spaceman Spiff 17 Jan, 2019 @ 5:58pm
Nice! Perfect for a big ship. Although a disgusting purple color because of the texture problems, it still performs wonderfully. I just tucked them out of sight.
Goonburt 20 Nov, 2018 @ 9:56am
Normally, these work wonderfully for me. But lately, they are showing up purple. How do I fix this?
Phoenix 21 Sep, 2018 @ 3:39pm
dude I can't use them it says error
Petrus 14 Sep, 2017 @ 4:48am
400 of that and a battlestar turns like a viper
Slovak Eagle 15 Jul, 2017 @ 12:30pm
Even with this I need 200 of these to turn my ship. Please make gyroscope for the biggest of biggest ships that will replace 20 000 vanilla ones.
Argus 25 May, 2016 @ 6:12pm
I put this on a 1 block ship.

clang pls
lylesonders 2 Jan, 2016 @ 2:52pm
With out this gyro it takes like ten of the best gyros mods out there to just slowly turn my ship, with this one it takes one although I have a couple for back ups
Dragokahn 9 Dec, 2015 @ 9:46am
Perfect 5 stars:steamhappy:
Mr. Gasmask 21 Sep, 2015 @ 6:46pm
i need somtething like this being that the capital ship im building has 14,837 gyros on it and still flies like a brick made of lead
BlastedTheWubstepNeko 29 Aug, 2015 @ 5:29pm
Yay , of all funny things.
Kippy 21 Feb, 2015 @ 2:05pm
YES! Unbalanced, just what I was looking for. +1 on the small gyroscope also.
Fingersniffer  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 8:14am
I will not steal someone elses work, and such an act would have my mod removed from the workshop and potentially have my account banned. Simply put, if you do not care for how the model currently is then you don't have to use it. I do not have the time to learn how to do custom modeling for this game, nor the desire.
p3st|cIdE 26 Dec, 2014 @ 6:17am
Someone already did the ones with bigger models, I linked it below. Could steal theirs! Anyway from what I understand, if you merely wanted to make the original Keen models bigger, all you'd need to do is download their game model pack, find the .fbx for the gyroscope, import it, export it as .ascii, tweak the scale value in the ascii .fbx file and re-run mwmbuilder. Or maybe you can rescale it in the xml file. That's probably what that person did. Surely Keen could make the process easier. There's a Blender script that sets it up to render .png icons of your models. Yeah it's all a PITA, it's why I don't make mods for this game, yet.
Fingersniffer  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 12:06am
I am trying to locate someone to create some custom models / icons but so far getting someone to commit to the project has been unsuccessful.
IviolentlyMlestJews 26 Dec, 2014 @ 12:04am
this is perfect. exactly what i've been looking for! but could u plz give it some sort of texture or size to it to show that it's special in the way that it is powerful?
megapro 18 Dec, 2014 @ 7:16am
@p3st|cIdE I wasn't really complaining I just don't see how this is usefull to someone. Everything that is big enough to profit from such a powerfull gyro has to be huge and I mean huge like only NASAs supercomputer can handle it. For everything smaller than that there is allready the "large gyroscope" mod which is 'only' 250x stronger than a regular gyro and thus can handle ships 10^7 to 10^8 kg conveniently. This on the contrary will rip any movable part on any ship you could build with a decent PC into pieces.
p3st|cIdE 4 Dec, 2014 @ 2:39pm
tyvm. I believe I will go with UltraGyroscope instead; it's not nearly as powerful as yours (more like 30x) but it's larger to help represent its increased power. A 1x1x1 may be good for certain purposes (replicas) but it's way overkill and seems out of place for my current stuff. I may return when I have use for this beast! Thanks again.
Fingersniffer  [author] 4 Dec, 2014 @ 1:41pm
Size is the same size as a default Gyroscope, 1x1x1
p3st|cIdE 4 Dec, 2014 @ 11:44am
@Fingersniffer: Havok. You didn't answer my question about the size. I don't want to install the thing just to find out. @schlacter125: And yeah, a 1km ship would totally benefit from this. Makes those sorts of ships possible! Besides you can adjust the gyro power to whatever your ship can handle. Or you could try to not be such a klutz at the helm, turn the mouse sensitivity down. This is the wrong place to cry about gyro being OP. Seems to be the whole reason this mod exists!
Fingersniffer  [author] 4 Dec, 2014 @ 10:06am
@schlachter Not sure what physics engine you think this game is using but Rotors and Pistons are broken even in the best of situations, I think your comment would be better spent on the Keen forums asking them to fix their poor programming.
megapro 4 Dec, 2014 @ 7:05am
Doesn't this snap every single rotor and piston on your ships when turning? A ship that could use this gyro effectively would at least have to be 1km long o.0
Cydramech 2 Dec, 2014 @ 8:13pm
Awesome.
p3st|cIdE 2 Dec, 2014 @ 12:07pm
How big is this thing? I can't tell from the screen shot.
Screaming Angels 1 Dec, 2014 @ 1:08pm
When you re-publish a mod, it allows you to correct the tags. :profgenki:
Fingersniffer  [author] 1 Dec, 2014 @ 12:48pm
@Screaming Angels - The scripts was a mis-click on my part and Steam offers no way to change this without deleting and re-uploading the mod again, which I don't want to do.
Morflavo 1 Dec, 2014 @ 5:09am
small ship version. I have many large small ship fighter types, but not enough gyros
Screaming Angels 1 Dec, 2014 @ 2:05am
What do the scipts do?
Fingersniffer  [author] 30 Nov, 2014 @ 9:15pm
All parts of this mod are present and no errors have been found. If you do not have the G-Menu category "HyperTech Industries" then it is likely you do not have the mod installed properly.

I would suggest that you verify that you have subscribed to the mod or added the number to the mod list for dedicated servers.
Belisarius 30 Nov, 2014 @ 8:40pm
It didn't show up in the G menu, I even typed in "Hypertech Gyroscope" and still nothing. Suggestions?
Acarii 30 Nov, 2014 @ 8:02pm
All I can think of is making a long stick of H armour and attaching this to one end. Giant sword of doom
