@mcneil_greg Go to addon menu -> main group -> disable OSD
mcneil_greg 24 Jul @ 6:19am
how do u remove the time and date on the screen
CourierButterfly_21 23 Jul @ 4:41pm
Can you add toggle that basically turn off the overlay everytime when we load a map? Thank you
THEMASONARIAL1 21 Jul @ 1:23am
i hate how it automatically turns on every time you load a map
Viper0451 16 Jul @ 10:26pm
When I use this mod on 640x480 resolution, the screen duplicates a slightly smaller version of itself that sits on the top-left corner
dustbowlgaming2007 13 Jul @ 5:50pm
can you add support for changing between 12hr time and 24hr time scales?
Epik Berm 11 Jul @ 4:53pm
Can this please be a post-processing, and also not be enabled on game start? Friends don't want to see it sometimes and are too lazy to go finding disable so I can't use it by mob vote lol
Adon1111222  [author] 10 Jul @ 6:29am
@LennoxTheDude Go to the addon menu, then go to the Main Render category, then click on the OSD menu button. Read more in the instructions.
LennoxTheDude 9 Jul @ 5:40pm
yo can u make it to where you can change the date and time? I love the addon tho
Mojolibby 5 Jul @ 2:29pm
could you make it a post processing overlay plz
Adon1111222  [author] 3 Jul @ 6:35am
@Cirno Frog Freezer Just read the addon use instructions. Go to the menu via Spawn Menu -> Utilities tab -> RealisticVHSeffect2 -> Menu button.
Adon1111222  [author] 3 Jul @ 6:33am
@wings Change the scale of both noises in X and Y directions(change the chroma noise in Y and the luminance noise in X).
x251k 3 Jul @ 12:28am
yay now i can make chuck e cheese footage
wings 1 Jul @ 2:30pm
Scaling the noise does cover up the gap, but it makes it unbearably laggy, and changing screen-size doesn't help.
wings 1 Jul @ 2:28pm
@Bruno Yoshinobu Addon settings are in the Utilities tab.
wings 1 Jul @ 2:25pm
@Adon1111222 I have tried changing the chroma noise, but it doesn't seem to fix it, and i also noticed something else wrong, ill send a image here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3514087944 (i brightened it to see it)
It looks like the luma noise is also cut off in the corner aswell?
Flandre Scarlet 1 Jul @ 2:06pm
addon settings?
Adon1111222  [author] 1 Jul @ 9:01am
@Bruno Yoshinobu Reduce Reduce general blur and colour blur.
Adon1111222  [author] 1 Jul @ 9:00am
@wings Your aspect ratio is 16:9. Have you tried changing the noise size?
Phyaflates 29 Jun @ 10:53pm
Oh sorry
Flandre Scarlet 29 Jun @ 2:48pm
is a way to make stuff more readable with this?
wings 29 Jun @ 12:11pm
@Adon1111222 My screen size is 1366 x 768 (native), so im not sure if its too big to too small?
Adon1111222  [author] 29 Jun @ 9:59am
@Phyaflates Please read the instructions before using! I just do it even if im sure that everything is done correctly. Click in the creation menu on the Utilities tab, where in the RealisticVHSEffect2 category click on the Menu button.
Adon1111222  [author] 29 Jun @ 9:55am
@wings Sounds weird. Try changing the noise size, if it continues to be cut off - then change the screen size. I checked only on game sizes 1920x1080(16:9) and 1280x720(16:9).
Phyaflates 27 Jun @ 4:23pm
I really like this mod, its better than the other VHS mods I've used but (not telling you to do it now) but at some point in the near future could you make it toggleable?
thatrandom1one1guy 18 Jun @ 6:05pm
plus codings hard not that because i do codings but because everyone make mods to give us a great experience
thatrandom1one1guy 18 Jun @ 6:04pm
jonnyhawkeye,honestly your right
wings 18 Jun @ 12:58pm
@Adon1111222 I don't think this is supposed to be here, but on one of the noise filters (i don't know which one) it seems to cut off a little bit at the bottom of my screen. Is it possible to do anything about this? Not that its annoying, its just that i notice it.
Jonnyhawkeye 18 Jun @ 4:46am
clocky its not that hard to just go turn it off in its menu. stop Crying.
Clocky (on vacation) 18 Jun @ 4:06am
then make a new on using post processing and add a few variations so you beat others in this non-existent competition; that way you'll make an addon people actually use and grows in popularity
Adon1111222  [author] 18 Jun @ 4:03am
@Clocky I think you just need to download another addon, there are millions of addons on the internet that are much better than this one and i dont hide that. If you want to use this in a video, youre better off using the effects in your video editing software. Your review is completely true and correct, i accept it, but i cant do what you want now.
Clocky (on vacation) 17 Jun @ 8:00am
nah i thought this was cool at first, but im sick of it turning on by default every time i boot gmod, and not only that it eats away FPS time to time + this isnt a regular filter or anything, its who knows what, awful mod - im shocked that you didnt choose the simple way of turning it into a filter/post processing thing, would've been easier to make and use in general, instead you tried this way :steamlaughcry:
Adon1111222  [author] 16 Jun @ 10:15am
@ThePagenLambMiracle GLua doesnt have enough functions to make all sounds from the game with that effect, but you can record the game and apply your own effect.
Kom.Parti 15 Jun @ 3:11pm
Просто ахуй, ебейший мод:zazhim:
ThePagenLambMiracle 15 Jun @ 1:02pm
Could you maybe add VHS rurring sounds and muffeled in-game audio in the settings?
Adon1111222  [author] 15 Jun @ 9:44am
@Huzz Lightyear All settings are in the menu, instructions included.
Adon1111222  [author] 15 Jun @ 9:43am
@Goaticus Maximus This is due to noise, change the size of both noises or turn them off and the problem will go away.
Adon1111222  [author] 15 Jun @ 9:42am
@wings Not all filters can be disabled, as they are the main ones and without them the rendering will not work correctly. The effect can be disabled in the addon menu.
Adon1111222  [author] 15 Jun @ 9:40am
@m0nkE You can use GLua for this. The variables are in the global table REALISTICVHSEFFECT2_CFG .
Adon1111222  [author] 15 Jun @ 9:37am
@FlexAir Fan Numba Oneeeee!! No, everything is done on default material shaders. Nothing new.
RARÓG 15 Jun @ 5:57am
why does this efect make the game 20 fps? can i turn it off?
Jonnyhawkeye 13 Jun @ 5:54pm
NVM Go to utilities and you can disable it there.
Jonnyhawkeye 13 Jun @ 5:52pm
how can i disable this when i want to
GOOFY GOOBER 13 Jun @ 5:01pm
how do you turn it on and off
wings 13 Jun @ 4:51pm
@Adon1111222 Can you make this a sort of filter we can turn off and on? I didn't expect this to be automatically applied.
Otherwise, this is really great!
Goaticus Maximus 13 Jun @ 1:54pm
This is cool af but do u know how I can make it less laggy?
deadfelu2020 13 Jun @ 2:19am
It would be nice for a keybind
m0nkE 11 Jun @ 5:51pm
is there a keybind to turn the filter on and off??
1968 Senate Hearings. 11 Jun @ 3:07pm
how do I optimize it? (set up date/time, image ghosting, VCR lines.)
FlexAir Fan Numba Oneeeee!! 11 Jun @ 5:27am
this is made with custom shaders right
