I used the "7-Zip" -program to turn WinRAR files into an regular folder to remove portraits from them, while storing the original DLC winRAR files.
My apology. ^^;
I do not own "Jade Dragon" DLC so I'll assume it will contain portraits too that needs to be remove also for India culture group. :)
If the problem remain in some parts, then do the same with Vanilla game's portraits:
- gfx/characters/ folders
- interface's portraits.gfx
Keep in mind that each culture group has their own portraits that needs to be removed before you can see the results.
From interface:
00_portraits_andalusians.gfx
01_portraits_mediterranean.gfx
From interface/portraits:
portraits.gfx
portraits_byzantine.gfx
portraits_byzantine_early.gfx
portraits_muslim.gfx
I wish you all good luck with micromanaging your game files. :)
For thoses who still wish play CK2 with Anime portraits, heres a tip how I got it work:
Step 1: Load 3.2.2 version of CK2. From my own experience mod worked with it before the newest updates.
Step 2: remove DLC's WinRAR files from Crusader Kings II/dlc folder:
dlc013
dlc018
dlc022
dlc057
dlc060
dlc063
dlc067
dlc070
dlc072
dlc074
NOTE: DO NOT DELETE NOTHING, to avoid to be forced start all over if you remove a wrong file.
Step 3: remove all Portraits related files from DLC's regular GFX & Interface folders.
( Clothes doesn't seem have affect on mod so thoses can stay. )
For example:
- dlc074/gfx/characters/westernslavic_male folder & default_son_westernslavic.tga
- dlc074/interface/portraits_westernslavic.gfx
Anything that say "portrait" needs to be removed from DLC folders. ( clothes & sprites can stay since thoses play no part when using Anime mod. )
Thanks for guiding me to fix the problem. I will look closer when I have time. :)
This was cause by the "Immortal" trait that I added on my child from preventing them from dying early age and didn't remove it when they reach adulthood.
Removing Immortal trait restore the portrait issue.
However, recent 3.3 Patch added the Eqyptian portraits that replaced mod's portraits. Right now i'm trying figure out if I can replace them or do I have to play with non-anime culture group.
But it does need more variety for sure.
Thanks for the positive comment. :D
Play CK2 vanilla. It already contains cats.
That's why I have created this mod "separately" from the main "serious" mod.
For sample: Monks and Mystics & Conclave Content Pack DLCs does replace NMIH portraits for me.
Yes it does. But any content, that add new new portraits for the culture group, will replace NMIH's portraits.
Not sure if we can replace those with ours.
You can change normal historical character portraits of NMIH.
You can change stats of characters too.
You just can't change the portrait of this montage set of the Anime sub mod.
So custom your ruler option isn't available with NMIH?
Glad to hear that you have fixed the bug.
This mod uses a different portrait set than vanilla (f.e. some parts use a different file names etc.). That's why. If I had a time, I will check the files.
For now it seems to work normally. I'll post a screenshot when I ran into it again.
As sidenote about custom your ruler's haircut/beard. None of those aren't working.
I'll assume you need Ruler Designer -DLC to custom your NMIH ruler? ( Since I don't own it yet. )
Could you upload a screenshot with your glitch? It is hard for us to fix the problem without any visual explanation.
