I have not disabled portrait generation if you have a portrait manually set. It will always generate one to have as a backup. So yes, no matter how many times you delete the autogenerated poster it will come back. You don't need both posters but you'll get both posters in case you delete the user portrait.
HKR31 27 Jul @ 7:27am
I understand what you are saying but it somehow seems to be connected
HKR31 27 Jul @ 7:26am
I have assigned the new custom poster as shown in the images above. When I delete the portrait that was randomly generated with this mod, it shows the chat screen poster with image containing text that says it is there to prevent deletion of all posters and randomly generates another poster in the photobooth as before. Then I leave and enter the chat screen again and it shows the assigned custom poster as it should. Basically from what I tested, it requires me to keep the randomly generated poster from this mod.
AgRipnus  [author] 27 Jul @ 7:05am
I don't understand. The manually assigned poster isn't connected to the auto-generated one. As long as the manually assigned poster is not 000 and it's User created it should work.

I tested the mod and it works but has one minor issue. I have to avoid deleting the random poster made by the mod. Need both that and the custom photo for viewing the custom photo. Otherwise I am unable to see any photo on the chat screen made by this mod.
AgRipnus  [author] 27 Jul @ 5:52am
It's important to keep in mind that in order to load custom images as portraits. You must edit a pre-existing portrait. You can't just add a png to the folder and expect it to work. Make a poster first and then edit it. Also Poster_000.png is reserved as the default reset you can't use that filename.
AgRipnus  [author] 27 Jul @ 5:47am
New update with a new highly requested feature. You can now set Portraits for soldiers manually. See the new mod image for instruction.
SourCrowd 26 Jul @ 10:07pm
LLM integration when?
Saladin 25 Jul @ 8:35am
That makes sense then.

Would you happen to know if maybe mods that edit the photobooth could interfere with the deletion process? Like I use some of the custom poses mods.
HKR31 25 Jul @ 7:14am
The text color change is a fun feature. I like it alot. Also I love the posters but is possible to add the feature of choosing a specific custom poster for characters?
AgRipnus  [author] 24 Jul @ 6:31pm
I'm using the game's native function to delete posters once the chat screen closes. If it doesn't delete the posters that could be because your pc is blocking it or because the folder structure is different. If anything it's a base game bug, nothing to do with this mod in particular.
Saladin 24 Jul @ 4:10pm
When are they supposed to be deleted? After I go back to the geoscape?

They seem to stick around for me. I haven't checked for how long, but if I go to the barracks right after, they're still there.
AgRipnus  [author] 24 Jul @ 3:47pm
The image you are seeing when you go to chat with them is just a poster that happens to just be in the same catagory as the memorial posters. It should create it and then delete it when you stop chatting.
Saladin 24 Jul @ 12:30pm
Hello,

I'm having a minor issue where, whenever I chat with my soldiers, it creates a memorial poster as though they have died.

I've checked the actual memorial and no one is there. So I'm not sure what's happening.

Post a screenshot of your Living Quarters tab.
ANARCHYSCLOUD 19 Jul @ 11:10am
Also can't find the Chat button, seems it has some conflicts with important UI mods

Soul 14 Jul @ 3:48pm
I don't use RPGO but I use CI and Extended personnel info, and a bunch of other UI stuff for both armory and other avenger stuff, tho not Living Space Redux,I just use the base one.
TdizzleGod 14 Jul @ 3:14pm
does this mod require a new campaign and are there any compatibility issues i should be aware ofZ?
cartels906 14 Jul @ 3:08pm
My current playthrough I have on RPGO, Detailed Soldier List Redux, Living Space Redux (and the whole Covert Infiltration suite), and Extended Personnel Info Redux, among other UI mods. Maybe it's a combination of all of those + DSL Redux Sort Options that''s causing the chat button to be hidden, or another mod entirely that I'm overlooking...
Soul 14 Jul @ 1:51pm
Thats weird,I use both and have chat show up no problem, checked and I have the override on as well
cartels906 14 Jul @ 9:03am
had some issues with getting the Chat button to show up, and after doing some testing confirmed that "[WOTC] DSL Redux Sort Options Plugin" currently conflicts with the Chat feature. Seems to possibly be because Sort Options "has a Mod Class Override (MCO) for the UIPersonnel_LivingQuarters".
The Kurgan 13 Jul @ 6:02am
*Midnight Suns has entered the chat*
Jason 6 Jul @ 4:40pm
Does it support game controller ?
david.kahil1 6 Jul @ 1:39pm
i have been using it on lwotc, runs fine
MoYuQueen 5 Jul @ 8:40pm
Sorry for taking up your time, and thanks a ton!
AgRipnus  [author] 5 Jul @ 8:33pm
The chat button is in the Living Quarters, specifically because of mods like these, check there.

How can I send you the screenshot? Like, through email or what?
AgRipnus  [author] 5 Jul @ 12:10pm
Can you share a screenshot?
MoYuQueen 5 Jul @ 11:03am
I'm using the Musashis RPG Overhaul mod, and it seems like it got rid of the 'chat' button on the soldier list screen.
AgRipnus  [author] 5 Jul @ 2:48am
What soldier list mod?
MoYuQueen 5 Jul @ 2:39am
Is this compatible with the Soldier List mod? I don't see the chat button anywhere.
AgRipnus  [author] 4 Jul @ 7:22am
If WOTC Nice Mission Debriefing is the culprit for this bug with the portraits people have been reporting, I'll run sum tests and see if I can bypass it. The game doesn't store what soldiers are in what poster but I can at least switch to headshots instead of a generic fallback.
季舒儿 4 Jul @ 4:56am
I suppose I'm not the first person to discover this. Simply put, saved games that don't include the mod 'WOTC Nice Mission Debriefing' can display character portraits normally in the chat interface. Additionally, I've noticed that your method of displaying character portraits involves taking a new screenshot of the character every time a conversation begins. However, it keeps modifying the same image file, such as 'poster_01', and each new conversation overwrites the previous photo. Perhaps this mod has made some adjustments to these processes, preventing your mod from displaying character portraits correctly. Maybe you could inform users that these two mods are incompatible? Alternatively, this mod might be able to call character portraits—either simple headshots or the character's most recent photo. What if you reference its code to make adjustments? That could be one way to solve the image display issue.

This is wild. I'm in.
Booty-Ass Fingers 1 Jul @ 11:59pm
Will you soldiers date each other or I guess you can date them?
季舒儿 29 Jun @ 1:59am
well,If I'm not mistaken, this mod WOTC Nice Mission Debriefing created the link:
C:\Users\1111\Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Photobooth\Campaign_5\HeadShots
It separates the images into "HeadShots" and "UserPhotos." Hope this helps you fix the issue.
Black 27 Jun @ 4:25am
Can confirm that user-generated posters are no-longer being used or deleted, many thanks for that.

Will keep testing to see if I can figure out what is preventing the images that are MEANT to be generated from appearing, but everything else works just fine.
AgRipnus  [author] 26 Jun @ 3:09am
If the fallback is showing but the posters keep getting deleted that's my fault. I might have missed something with the patch, but that'll be fixed today. The true cause is still unknown.
Black 26 Jun @ 2:48am
Sorry for the late reply. After running a quick test, the new fallback image is showing, however it isn't preventing posters from being deleted (on a current save).

I'll try with a fresh campaign and see if it has the same effect or not.
AgRipnus  [author] 25 Jun @ 9:44pm
The thing is this mod isn't using some new way to generate images that I made, it's using the base game method, the same one as when a soldier is promoted and the game generates a poster. If it's broken for this mod, it should be broken in the base game for promotion or memorial posters.
Syion 25 Jun @ 7:13pm
If any mod has hidden soldier classes, and you get a unit with said class, it causes the failure to generate an image. I have no idea how I managed to get one last campaign but I believe it has something to do with the GFL faction mod I have enabled.
Syion 25 Jun @ 7:10pm
So i think I finally recreated what happened, it's hidden soldier classes.
Syion 25 Jun @ 6:01pm
This is from making a new campaign not the beginning of my old campaign.
Syion 25 Jun @ 6:01pm
So from a bit of testing, it works at the start of the campaign with all my mods installed and even after a few missions and giving myself like, 30+ soldiers. Maybe the old campaign just can't update properly or it was something that happened a bit or much later in my old campaign, I have no clue sadly. Or maybe it takes so long to generate an image that before it can, it deletes an old image? Cause my PC seemed to struggle for a bit after I gave myself 30+ soldiers though it stopped after fully loading them all and hasn't struggled since. I also tried checking some mod files including this one but I don't have much experience to truly spot stuff like that out.
