let me describe to you the experience of a new poor soul and the Awful Malicious Pole.

this thing is vision. nothing to distract you - it's you and the pole. keep climbing. its a lonesome, slow, steady progress.

i teleported from the top to the bottom of the screen, slowly up to the top, back down. breathe in when slugcat is on the upper half, breathe out on screen transition; each fresh screen feels like entering a pool again and again.

i felt very high up, more than that; I felt alone on a winter night. serene. bottom. breathe out. top. breathe in. new screen. bottom. breathe out.

and, when i was near the top, channeling oogway, i hear something. not some tranquil lonely chime, but some fucked up quickbeat techno. i was so beyond the world at this point, yet i was met with an ABYSMALLY disguised pole plant. absolutely and brutally bewildering.

and then. and then. when i climbed up into its embrace. it couldn't even pull me up.

i wanted 5 more hours. 10/10
