oh also i configured it so batflies replenish, so (theoretically) spears should never run out.

@Person_IDK if you grab batflies they turn into spears. i think every level has a batfly hive. or at least most of them do.

@SpiffySuits they've already said that's a planned feature, and you can actually change spawns now by editing the .json file in the wavedata folder

I don't know what I might be doing wrong, but whenever I start playing the waves mode, it instantly kills me and ends the round no matter what lives I set it to. I am playing in singleplayer, if that might be the cause.

THIS IS SO FUN! it would be so good to have a button on the wave menu to check past results from last games, you could fight to beat the wave record (different slugcat should have different record tabs maybe?)

@chromo Ah I see. I'd also suggest nerfing wave 10 to maybe just 1 vulture instead of two, since as it stands now it's a huge spike in difficulty. It's why I don't play on maps where vultures can spawn simply because it's so difficult. Adding more waves with vultures in general would also be nice, to spice up the later waves.

@Wolfium I like that idea. It'd also help some maps such as Shafts since some creatures (mainly Green Lizards) have very limited movement and would either get stuck or die when on those maps.

Umm... For some reason each time I start a new game I just die instantly, no matter the map, slugcat or number of lives I have. Any way to fix this?

i didn't think rocks would be able to go missing; i never played on a map with death pits. and also i guess i figured they're not strictly necessary for killing creatures, so i never thought of implementing a way for rocks to generate/respawn. I suppose i should consider that.

also I suppose i can add dropwigs. i'm not sure about adding centiwings since they don't attack you and instead run away until like a minute or two after they first see you. also I will add DLC creatures in the update I plan that adds significant customization to waves (and without the need to edit a json file)

Also I've noticed that, generally speaking, maps with acid/death pits tend to be easier, as the more difficult terrain makes it harder for creatures, and most creatures are quite limited in their movement capabilities, and the ones that are very mobile tend to be quite weak. Also I think the two vultures at Wave 10 is a bit of a difficulty spike imo, especially since they never appear again (I think). Maybe just one vulture.
To be fair, I was playing on a map that is heavily weighted to the player, so maybe it's a lot harder than I thought.

Too easy. I got to 53 waves on Shafts as Spearmaster and only died because I was stupid and wasn't patient with a White Lizard (I even added stuff such as Train Lizards and Rot Cysts and it barely affected the difficulty). Add more different creatures (dropwigs and centiwings straight up do not appear) and also add options for Downpour/Watcher creatures. Also I agree with Lokriner: Rocks need to have a way to spawn (although I barely used rocks in my Spearmaster run).
Great concept, though. Maybe make creatures more aggressive as time goes on, to prevent camping.

I suggest, if possible, that spears become rocks overtime, and those rocks eventually dissapear, possibly as a difficulty check, because I did a run w hunter and vultures just became so cheesable from the sheer amount of spears on the ground, also cause I want a way to get rocks other than waiting for the scavs spawns. Great mod either way :rwslugcat:

Again you can always just edit the .json to add all creatures you want yourself, even modded ones.
