This mod is preventing Modern Age from starting. I keep getting "Gameplay database failed validation! See Database.log for details."

hi! this was an issue with the sikh empire's alternate wincon, which has now been resolved.
christian.burgin 8 Jul @ 10:23pm
this is such an awesome mod, thank you!

had a weird issue where i couldn't earn any legacy points, and neither could the AI it seems, but only in the modern age. i would collect artifacts and it would never recognize me achieving any of the milestones.

hard to tell if it's because of this mod, but the legacy points worked normally in antiquity and exploration where i was playing base game civs, and they bugged out when i was playing ireland in modern.

thanks! this is what i needed. it's a dlc issue: these are hard for me to figure out because the fact i own the dlcs means the game sometimes manages to work even when i disable them. i'll release an update fixing this asap and comment again here when it's ready!

@mattwho I looked at the data log and besides Foreign Key constraint failed x2, it talks about Ada Lovelace does not exist in leaders

hi! when you get a database error, if ur on windows, go to:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII\Logs
there, you can open Database.log in notepad, and let me know what it says so i can check whether there's a mod its conflicting with or an error with dlc compatibility.

I have tried to play this mod and the Scotland civ as well but I never get past the loading screen and get a data log text. I would like to know if these mods are incompatible with certain other mods or if I need a certain dlc to play.

latest update is out and the celebrations should now be working! and wonder adjacencies are added for the UBs.
mattwho  [author] 30 Jun @ 4:27pm
looks like the unique celebrations are bugged since 1.2.2. i'm looking into a solution for these. will update very soon with either a fix or a placeholder alternative ability for the great people.
i'll also include the wonder adjacency for the UBs.
bellls-worth 30 Jun @ 1:30am
All buildings have an adjacency bonus for wonders. Maybe you could add that to Ireland's unique buildings
the mystery™ 29 Jun @ 4:44pm
the game probably doesnt like putting a decimal point on influence lol
the mystery™ 29 Jun @ 4:41pm
the culture and influence effect for state feminism crashed my game :(
a-dalton 29 Jun @ 2:29pm
Not sure if its my set up but anytime I try to activate State Feminism with Constance Markievicz, my game crashes when I hit a celebration. Any ideas?
Meltryllis 29 Jun @ 11:19am
Hi Matt, i'm sorry if this is inappropriate to ask, but do you accept commission for custom made leader/civ?
big-ginger-1 28 Jun @ 12:25am
Hi matt, Cracking mods btw! I have also had issues with celebration as Worker's Federation. I hadn't activated my statesman on that turn though. I've tried saving before and reloading, loading off the autosave. Running UI and your scotland mods
mattwho  [author] 26 Jun @ 12:02pm
thanks for the detail: i'll look into a fix for this. for now as a workaround, try to expend your statesman units between celebrations.
Pogo the panda 0118 26 Jun @ 11:36am
I'm having a similar issue with Worker's Federation, when I activate a celebration effect the game crashes. I'm using some UI and other Civ mods but nothing to out of the ordinary, My only guess is that I originally had the Elective republic government activated with it's celebration effect then changed my government with the great person.
Tadeusz 24 Jun @ 9:54am
Yes, its still crushes. I use UI mods.
mattwho  [author] 24 Jun @ 6:29am
that's unusual - it's no different to any other government and just provides a standard bonus as its celebration.
did it still crash when you loaded an autosave and repeated the same action?
are you running it with any other mods?
Tadeusz 24 Jun @ 6:14am
Great work! It was fun to play, unfortunately game crushed when adopting semi-presidentialism
german-d 24 Jun @ 5:24am
I just want to say, that you do amazing work, giving us already first new Countries to play with.
mattwho  [author] 23 Jun @ 4:34pm
not yet! but hopefully. firaxis still hasn't given us the tools to do a lot of what we need to do for mods.
thanks to izica and some creative workarounds, i've managed to make my mods relatively complete, with models for units and buildings, despite limitations.
but some things, like fully custom models, music, custom improvements and wonders, just still arent possible.
Vicugna Pacos 23 Jun @ 4:30pm
Custom music?
Barisurai 23 Jun @ 3:56pm
Nice mod, well done lad!
mattwho  [author] 23 Jun @ 12:40pm
current limitations to modding mean we can't add wonders yet, unless they lack unique aesthetics. the planned wonder for ireland is trinity college dublin, which will be a culture version of the oxford wonder, and for balance ireland temporarily receives +33% production towards oxford university as a placeholder until this new wonder can be added.
Maplefrost 23 Jun @ 12:30pm
Could you give them The Spire as a wonder?
mattwho  [author] 23 Jun @ 12:19pm
hey! i found the issue and it's now been fixed in the latest version.
Heresy Enthusiast 23 Jun @ 11:54am
Hey, the "Beyond the Pale" civic is causing every settlement, even those not on a navigable river, to generate a treasure fleet worth +10 points each in my game. I ended up getting something like 1k gold per fleet. I played Songhai in the exploration era and so it seems to have kept that ability and added it to the civic.
