is there a download for Rarimi's spice and wolf mod anywhere other than steamworkshop?
My Beta is still up, although Beta v14 is the exact same package as Public v2 right now, minus the built-in soundtrack.
If you are playing with my Beta, you will need this mod + Soundtrack Part 1 + Soundtrack Part 2
If you are playing with the Public version, you do not need this mod, only Soundtrack Part 1 + Soundtrack Part 2
No worries about posting wherever you ended up, haha. Even if you subscribe to and activate all three soundtrack mods, it won't hurt anything. I've coded this Compatibility mod in such a way so that it won't run into any errors even if the tracks are already present from the Public version. All it means is that you spent some extra download time and storage space.
Haha, this particular component isn't necessary if you're playing as my Holo Civ. It's only necessary if you are either playing my Beta, or Rarimi's version.
Otherwise, the other two parts are the required parts for the Extended Soundtrack.
As provided, there is no way to use this with default Civs, although it should be pretty trivial to create a mod to do so.
All it takes is a couple lines to update whatever Civs you want to use this soundtrack.
Alternatively, you can simply try to Youtube the Spice and Wolf OST, or similar.
Fair enough, although it's not really seven different versions; I only have the one Civ mod. You're just commenting on the various soundtrack components. Music, in other words.
You must really want a response out of me, for some reason.
I don't understand your need or desire to call people names over the internet, but hey, different hobbies. Unfortunately, I'll be deleting that comment as it serves no real purpose.
As I've mentioned elsewhere, if you would like to have a discussion, feel free to do so in a more mature manner, but I'll not entertain pointless namecalling and trolling.
I'm afraid I'm not quite seeing that. Yes, there exists a couple items on each page, but even if you count the three instances of my soundtrack appearing, I only count 7 items right now that are clearly related to anime/manga works. Out of 90 total items in those three pages.. That's less than 10% of the items in the first three pages.
With that said, I personally would welcome more of it. I believe there's more creativity involved in designing a Civlization out of something that has no history to fall back on, rather than simply trying to emulate something from the past.
I wouldn't really say they are invading, since the vast majority of the content is still mostly historical Civs and stuff based on the real-world.
I simply was never much of a history buff, and find it's more fun to be creative and try to make Civilizations out of fictional stories and characters which never actually were Civilizations.
A demo of...what?
This is a soundtrack mod. The second line of this mod's description says "It has no gameplay components."
Its only purpose is to provide a soundtrack to several Spice and Wolf Civs which don't have one. If you simply want a sample of what the music sounds like, you can check this Youtube link.
The soundtracks are tied to specific Civilizations (not every Civ can use them) so if you want to hear these tracks in Multiplayer, you would either need to get my "Wolf and Merchant Empire", or Rarimi's "Wheat Feuds" Civ working in Multiplayer first.
