If you have the time, I'd love to pick your brain about server config / efficency. A friend of mine plays on Sunrunner and I was impressed at how smoothly it ran (crashes aside) with so many mods loaded.

My server ran fine with 15, but dropped a friend and I to our knees (fps wise) while we were trying to build a simple platform. After the landing gear activated on the landing craft they'd keep 'drifting' then snapping back (only a few inches). Over time it made the game unplayable anywhere in that area.

It's not the balance pack per se (although they do help a little) but the collection. The balance mods are what I use to adjust or cut out unnecessary content from mods on the server. I also patch workarounds for crashing issues week to week as the game is developed if need be.

If the users don't have to download the mods at the server browser every time they join, it cuts out a large portion of the wait time to get on the server.

The Sunrunner Balance mods are made for a specific experience on my server, so of course, I would not advise using them on yours.

A question regarding these balance packs: I'm setting up a server myself and I'm curious as to the benefit of these packs and what makes them special. I.E., how does this improve load time over simply having each mod loaded on the dedicated server individually?

Keep in mind both Imperium Balance Part 1 & 2 are private publications developed by me for the PvP on our server.

Yoho.. Great mod pack, do ya have a numberlist maybe so i can add it to my server mod list :P now i have to check every mod for it's ID :) Thx in advance..
