Noticed a pretty large decrease in item drops with the mod enabled. Was repeatable. Anyone else encounter this?

@Jebus oTO I just ran some tests to try and crash my own save by loading the old version of the mod, giving myself some of the changed items and then loading the new version of the mod and my saves didn't crash. I'm unsure that this update was the culprit to your crash (If it was though, I am deeply sorry).

@Sebbelanian yeah it crashed up on loading save, and only this mod was updated in between play sessions. All older savegames crashed too.
I assume it's because I had one of the now changed items equipped on one of my heroes.

No worries though, I just started a new game. No need to waste your time on a single dude's save

@ewobmrk I can't say for sure, but "Item Shop 2" appears to be vastly different from this mod, so risk of conflicting files would be low.

More Update! I solved it!

I could not change the problematic items that were already in the game, so I made my own versions of them! Ones without equip restrictions and nothing else! Yaaay! Expect an update soon!

Update! I have got good news and bad news;

Good news is that I managed to change the restrictions of units using banners in battle, Example: The "Gonfalon of Green Hands" banner can be used by all units not just "vampire coast ranged units".

Bad news is that I actually managed to add the appropriate privileges of the problematic banners and magic items so they can be equipped by all lords (Sound great!), however, the UI in the character detail screen lists all the characters that can use the item when hovering over it, covering the entire screen with text which hides the stats and looks realy ugly.

I can't remove the restrictions of the items and banners, only add extra privileges. I can't overwrite them either or find the scripts responsible for the restrictions (If there even is one!).

I might have to remove the problematic items and banners, returning them base game rules. I don't want to do it this way, but I might have to. :(

@Sebbelanian If it's just repetitive data table copy-paste work, you can copy data tables to Excel or Google Docs by just selecting all of the rows & columns with Ctrl+A, copy with Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V into the spreadsheet. Then just copy-paste the agent key into the right column for all the rows by selecting them and doing Ctrl+V

Then just copy the spreadsheet and paste back into the data table with shift+ctrl+v

@Sebbelanian Alright, sweet! Yeah, I remember those items being an issue.

Sadly, if you wanna do the same for banners for your other mod, I think there are more banners with restrictions than items. I remember the Tomb Kings, Norsca, Greenskins having a few.
Most of them are mentioned in the comments under the mod I posted before. And also, hats off to you for wanting to do that! :)

I manually checked all the items and there appears to be four problematic ones.

Skull Wand of Kaloth
Ritual of the Beast (No idea what that item even is, to be honest.)
Hail of Doom Arrow and
Bow of Loren

@XIII07 I see what you mean now. It would seem that a few items actually have restrictions regarding who can equip them (Ex: Skull Wand of Kaloth). I didn't think that any of them did...

I know how to remove the restrictions, or should I say, add more allowed characters, but it is a lot of work. I would have to make a data base that adds every single character subtype to every problematic item. There are 563 different character subtypes in the game. It would be a lot easier to remove the items, but then again, I didn't start modding because it was easy.

I have encountered issues with banners myself and after having a look around it seems like a lot easier to fix.

I'll se what I can do. You don't need to send a list of all the items, I can probably find them myself.

@Sebbelanian What he means is there are items for certain factions that can only be equipped by specific lord or hero types. (same with banners btw, if I include your other great mod)

These items and banners are completely useless to get, if you are not their original faction, since you'll never have their lords/heros/units to use them.
My question is, would you update these specific items and banners to simply not drop anymore or could you edit them to have no equipping restrictions anymore if I gave you a list of them? (hope this doesn't come across as rude to ask, I'm very sorry if so)

I did that for/with the creator of the other mod I used before, he then proceeded to remove the items from the drop tables in updates for his mod.

@F.O.A.D If you mean banners and and followers, then no. However, I have published a "Banner Faction Restrictions Removed" mod! The link is in the description. I have also made a mod removing restrictions for followers, but it is very wacky, so wacky it probably shouldn't be published.

@XIII07 I will try to keep this mod (and all other mods) updated to the best of my abilitiy as all the magic items need to have their restriction removed manually. So if CA adds more randomly dropped magic items, I would have to add those as well.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear that the mod helps!

Except that, that one doesn't work anymore (now messes with item rarities and item fusions sadly).

So I'm glad to have this as an up-to-date alternative!

It feels like after adding new AI characters in the middle of the campaign, the opponents stopped wearing new items and are walking around naked.

You know what would make this mod even better, if its even possible to do it. fighting that specific faction yields that faction's items. so like fighting empire, you get empire items. fighting dwarves, you get dwarf items. fighting high elves, you get high elf items. and so on, also fighting your own faction you get your faction's items. making it less random and allowing for the ability to "farm" certain factions for specific items. c:

@kiro72727 This mod only touches upon the restrictions for the base game magic items, so if the items in the "New Legendary Artifacts of Lord and Hero of Warhammer 3" mod have restrictions they will stay the same. A sub-mod would have to be made to make those items behave similarly.
