There's a similar situation in another game, where you can have a snail howdah, and the idea of bretonnian peasants riding it to war like it's an elephant is too funny to ignore.

Darn. My mistake. Thought they did have them (it was a long time since I saw the rules). Though I wouldn't be surprised if they reintroduced this creature, say in Warhammer Fantasy RPG then they would give it regeneration.
Snails have absurdly good regeneration factors and can even regrow their shells if said shells break or get a hole.

@bstar Sharp teeth like these could indicate any type of diet that includes tough, hardy materials. Mastodons were originally believed to be carnivores due to their rows of sharp teeth, but later evidece showed they most like scraped bark of trees with said teeth.
