Can you blame the Germans for capturing it. It is a very reliable, high magazine capacity and very high rate of fire. The round it fires is a perfect balance between firepower and controllability in automatic fire. I know of a rare example of a captured weapon that got recaptured by the British in the First World War. It was a Lewis machine gun captured by the Germans from the British foresters brigade and converted to fire the 7.92 Mauser round. Then it got recaptured by the British and marked to signify that it was a captured weapon. Currently in the collection of the Leeds Royal Armory’s museum in the UK, which is so cool. I am purist though in leaving that iconic submachine gun free of ridiculous customization in COD.
