shrek  [author] 25 Jul @ 5:25pm
@Denver what kind of issue?
shrek  [author] 25 Jul @ 5:24pm
Should be, still have no idea why you'd want 2 rain overhauls active at once
MasterFeyd 25 Jul @ 12:29am
is it compatible with rain overhaul though
Denver 22 Jul @ 4:57pm
Apparently has an issue with Calamity Entropy
Ragin' Ramen 21 Jul @ 7:06pm
just yoink some sounds from rain world
shrek  [author] 17 Jul @ 1:34pm
I have absolutely zero talent when it comes to sound design lol, if I can find someone willing to help with that then sure:steamhappy:
Increative 17 Jul @ 8:27am
maybe i should get a new profile picture... vv

I'd love to see some rain white noise sound effects implemented for each variation of rain up to heavy storm that play when on the surface and outdoors before this mod is called complete. That feels like the only thing that's missing from this right now; it feels hollow without some solid sound design; I see the rain clearly but I can't hear it even with sound and ambiance turned up to full. The visuals are perfect though, and exactly what I'm looking for.

I tried Terraria Ambiance, but that doesn't enhance storms well enough to suit this mod :vvvvvv_victoria:.

If I were an expert mod & map designer, this would be amazing in a Rain World recreation.

I feel like setting every slider to max and enjoying the chaos.
Axecalibur 11 Jul @ 6:30pm
if it isn't too inconvenient, could you make it so that in the config you can make it less opaque? i want to see the rain a little more so i can see the chaos of max rain particles better. ty if you do consider! and great mod! :terraria:
JerryTheJames-St 11 Jul @ 4:54pm
Wait huh, whats the difference between this one and rain overhaul
Hetaires Vinegar 11 Jul @ 3:05am
Is there an option to change the visibility? For example, to make it more blurry or even impossible to see people in heavy rain?
Also, I noticed that there are no water splashes, as if the raindrops are not hitting the ground.
shrek  [author] 10 Jul @ 10:29pm
@after I dont think i'll make one, since the mod is pretty much done now (aside from bugfixes and tml versioning)
godslayer 10 Jul @ 6:49pm
"Come lets watch the rain as its falling down!!!!" 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
after 10 Jul @ 6:08pm
if this mod had a discord or something where i can follow this mod more closely that would be amazing, i am also looking forwards to the mod Zoe is developing :steamhappy:
Zoe 10 Jul @ 4:51pm
@Cataclysmic_Armageddon Would be nice to have someone test my sky rewrite, I'm attempting to make the mod that should never be made; (one that's compatible with every other mod (bad idea)). If you care i can send you my discord @.
Daycrime 9 Jul @ 6:24pm
wow
Cataclysmic_Armageddon 9 Jul @ 10:26am
Oooh I see, Thanks, I'll be keeping a close eye on em....Wonder if they want a tester in the future....
shrek  [author] 9 Jul @ 10:01am
They made the mod I linked in the description that fixes the issues present when you try and use any screen shaders with Retro Lightning enabled
Cataclysmic_Armageddon 9 Jul @ 6:47am
Zoe? Do they have anything on the workshop so I can follow them?
A mod that finally enhances the weather system is something I've been after for the longest time!
exitus.xyz 9 Jul @ 12:39am
looks very smooth
shrek  [author] 8 Jul @ 9:35pm
I planned on doing smth similar but a friend (Zoe, the one who did the logo) is making their own mod which would entail to stuff like that, so I held off and probably will continue to do so:steamhappy:
Cataclysmic_Armageddon 8 Jul @ 9:10pm
I've already fallen for this mod hard, There's plenty of potential for more!
Lightning would be incredible (Yes I know that's coming to 1.4.5) BUT this mod could do it for just the background when lighting strikes instead of everything just going all bright...Speaking of that effect, This could change the bright white flash with other colours just like IRL lightning!

Really excited to see just how far this goes cos damn it all I love it
JossOwX 8 Jul @ 6:58pm
rain world???
Lex_Gamer 8 Jul @ 6:25pm
imagine if there was rain+++ where rain will now flood the surface a bit/a lot and the thunder would explode blocks (and set them on fire if terraria overhaul mod is enabled)
Lex_Gamer 8 Jul @ 6:22pm
what is better, this or rain overhaul
RomCunn 8 Jul @ 5:53pm
THANKS FOR ADDING THIS MOD, SHREK😭😭😭😭😭😭
shrek  [author] 8 Jul @ 3:03pm
It should be but I have no idea why you would use both at the same time
TracingLight 8 Jul @ 2:22pm
is this compatible with rain overhaul?
shrek  [author] 8 Jul @ 1:22pm
@Just A Average Day I added a config option for a low performance mode, if that may help your case and you still want to use this mod
Nada Mesmo 8 Jul @ 11:31am
rain world reference guys:slugcatsleep:
panillion 8 Jul @ 9:53am

Luminitest 8 Jul @ 8:05am

Just A Average Day 7 Jul @ 9:00pm
makes sence so its my pc. like 99,9 percent of my mods work on here
Just A Average Day 7 Jul @ 8:59pm
well ok
Zoe 7 Jul @ 5:54pm
@Just A Average Day , good luck running any visually intense mods on ancient devices, surprised you could even get rs working lmao
Zoe 7 Jul @ 5:53pm
you can decompile it using the in-game menu if you're that curious, the github is currently private.
qucumberman 7 Jul @ 2:04pm
Can you open source the project, I'd like to take a look at the code? Also hello fellow Shrek.
shrek  [author] 7 Jul @ 12:36pm
true
exactly 1 knight 7 Jul @ 11:13am
Steam already comes with a patch notes menu, you don't need to fill the description with update logs.
Just A Average Day 7 Jul @ 9:41am
well um the mod suggestion didn't work out i even removed every mod and it hasn't work even the mod you sugested didn't work so .
Just A Average Day 7 Jul @ 4:36am

Just A Average Day 7 Jul @ 4:16am
it was before. with other mods like starlit river and realistic sky
Just A Average Day 7 Jul @ 4:15am
oh thanks for the idea but ive done 2 because thats the only thing i can do. but my question is dose it work on low end devices im on a old laptop so. that may be a issue
octability 6 Jul @ 9:28pm
oh, thanks! I meant the light looked odd underwater because of the rain, it's fixed now :)
shrek  [author] 6 Jul @ 8:49pm
Also if you could list the mods you were using at the time of the issue, that'd be great, just tried to recreate the issue myself and I couldn't
shrek  [author] 6 Jul @ 8:45pm
1 - could you list your pc's specs?
2 - what is Wave Quality set to and what is the lighting mode you have on

If you have wave quality anywhere below `High` or Retro Lighting enabled, then this mod will not work as intended. I linked a mod that (should) fix these issues if you must use retro lighting, it's at the bottom of the description
