I used to go there in between deployments. Where else can you get a Sage Fly Rod and a speed loader at the same table? Nowhere now I guess. Thanks for bringing it back. And in my favorite universe too!

Sweet someone with memories! Thanks I will update the locations of the snack bar whenever I dust it off

I use to seek bmx parts/bikes and GI Joe figures/toys along with many other action hero toys..... ahhh the memories.... many a weekend i spent in that place. I ma gonna have to check this out!

The Landfill/dump mentioned was near it ... but closer to I5 and to the south side of it. The snack bar was in the northern center side of the entire plot, and the bathrooms were located like right at the entrance , left for the cans - right for the snack bar / covered vendors.

Was a beautiful mixture of Asian and Hispanic cultures. The music the sounds - music and spoken language, the hustle and bustle. The wheeling and dealing ...

Well, I had a hard drive failure and had to reinstall all my Steam games, and when I try to open the content pack, I am missing 18 dependencies. I am having the same problem with The Valley 6 Drive-In pack I made. My guess would be its because I have yet to unpack all of my downloaded content packs, they are only subscribed to, not installed yet. Maybe try unpacking them. If that doesnt work then you might need Returns installed, not just Dragonfall Extended.

I have looked at it in the editor it has 5 missing dependences if you only have Dragonfall Directors Cut installed. I assume these are referenced in the Dragonfall DLC for Shadowruns returns. But I don't have it installed on my machine at the moment.

/data/props/oldtown_street_shack03.pb
/data/chars/Berlin_Merchant_OddWeapons.eq_sht
/data/props/barrens_ground_gravelwalk1.pb
/data/props/pikeplace_building_plain1GLASSdoor.pb
/data/props/pikeplace_building_plain1EXTside4.pb

I have tried adding Dragonfall Extended as a dependency but I cannot get it to resolve.

Umm It should launch, I have it published separately on both. I have no clue why it wouldnt.

Do I have to reinstall Deadmans switch as this will not launch on my machine with only Dragonfall Director's Cut installed?

Ok, I remember my dad bringing that one up, my grandparents ran that one too, in the 60's or 70's. If its the one that has a house that extends out over the box office, then the other night he was talking about that one and how my Grandpa and him (and undoubtedly my Grandma, aunts and uncles) built and wired the addition to the apartment that was there, made it into a 3 bedroom house with a 17' x 24' rec room. Though he could have been talking about one of the many others we ran at some point or another.

The only semi local one that i still know is left, is the rodeo out near the bremerton airport.

And the Valley 6 was tore down in 2013 not 2014, I gave the wrong date earlier.

I wonder if Cathy is still running it? Thats cool, when Cathy was manager (if she isnt still) I heard she really turned the place around, with better concessions and service. Never been there myself though.

Yeah I've been to the skyline a couple times (the most recent was watching the double feature of Man of Steel/ Pacific Rim.

Around that time they sucessfully did a kickstarter to get a digital projector so I think they're still doing fine.

It's still a good distance from where I live however but it is the closest drive-thru to me that I know of.
Big Daddy Smooth 14 Jan, 2015 @ 6:16am
sadly there aren't many drive-in left, most are being torn down, or decript
tHAsWAPmEETpIMP  [author] 13 Jan, 2015 @ 7:33pm
is Lewis County near Shelton at all? or on the Peninsula? I believe the Skyline is still open in Shelton, and I think my dad said either the Autoview or the Rodeo may still be open on the peninsula, but I could be wrong about that.
Sciencemile 13 Jan, 2015 @ 1:41pm
I remember going to that, yeah; I saw The Hunchback of Notredame and a Zorro movie there at least.

Of course, now I live in Lewis County so...not much of anything good here :/

Yeah been gone since 2005, sadly. Did you ever go watch movies at the Valley 6 Drive-In down in Auburn? That got tore down in 2014, after they shut it down in 2013. The last great large multi-screen Drive-In in Washington, as far as I know.

Happiness is being at the Drive-In.

I remember going to this place a lot as a kid, whenever we wanted to have a garage sale. I'm sad that apparently it's gone now.
tHAsWAPmEETpIMP  [author] 11 Jan, 2015 @ 11:20pm
Well, upon watching it, I can say the sweatshop parts were probably not filmed there, but there are several scenes that have the feel of either the Midway Indoor or the Starlite Indoor Swap N Shop, so even if he didnt film it there he definitely captured the feel of it in whatever warehouse he filmed it in. And the building they show for the exterior, I know that place, somewhere deep in my memory, but I just cant place it....Maybe the B & I? I dont know it was 1992 when the video was shot so I was only 10 or 11, thats a long time ago now. Well its interesting if its true, and if not, I can tell from watching the video that it is definitely influenced by the drive-ins and all the boot-leg merch that was there

Just a little trivia for yall....you have heard of Sir Mix-A-Lot right? Well he lives/d (not sure if he is still there) in Black Diamond, which is the boonies area past Auburn, and he did a song called Swap Meet Louie, which he filmed a video for that my friend Gregg would talk about, which was supposedly filmed at the Midway Swap Meet (had a few debates on whether he would have asked my grandpa for permission before he did it or if he would have just done it on the downlow while he was at the Swap Meet). I havent seen it to confirm it. Maybe I will go look it up tonight and confirm whether it is true or not.

frekking rad man. I don't have time to mess with mods but ... what a cool idea! I remember that joint!
tHAsWAPmEETpIMP  [author] 9 Jan, 2015 @ 9:11pm
Not that i know of Rakshasa, but Drive-Ins themselves could be toxic sites, because they are major pollution producers (think how many people in junkers spilling oil all over the place, the trash customers threw everywhere or all the used condoms that we buried at the Valley 6......Cause god knows we werent gonna touch those lol)

Thanks runfoo, I can deduce where they were from that, east wall with my Grandpa Homers office in between, west wall was where the kitchen was located, and storage.

I am not done with this, but this and the Valley 6 are gonna have to be random weekend or days off for right now, just got a decent job and dont have much time these days(stupid bus commute).
rakshasa72 9 Jan, 2015 @ 12:29pm
BTW wasn't this place built on or next to a landfill? Maybe some Toxic Spirits are in the cards?
rakshasa72 9 Jan, 2015 @ 12:27pm
Nice I used to drive by this place a lot in the 90s. When I was going to my friends house in Federal Way. I don't every recall going there.
Runfoo 9 Jan, 2015 @ 8:13am
i don't remember what wall the restrooms were on but you did have to go into the snackbar to get to them
tHAsWAPmEETpIMP  [author] 7 Dec, 2014 @ 12:14pm
Its been a really long time since I had been in the snack bar, I was a little kid when my grandparents ran the Theatre, and I always used the employee bathroom, do you possibly remember where the bathrooms were located, and if they had external entrances or if you had to go through the snack bar? I am assuming they were on the eastern wall, and they did have external entrances.
Elric 5 Dec, 2014 @ 11:09pm
Damn I used to go there before it was torn down
