Not sure what you mean, but the answer's probably no. What you're asking sounds like it would require changing the game engine, not just modding via the Creation Kit.

It doesn't work for followers who are not currently following you. This mod doesn't change NPC behaviour at all, and the default NPC behaviour is followers will not wear anything besides their starting outfit when they're actively following you. Modifying their "starting" outfits in-game requires scripting in functionality that was never intended in the game engine, and while it's possible, it also has greater potential for bugs and conflicts with other mods.
classy.days43 4. aug. 2018 kl. 5:45
Does this work with followers whom are not following you? I.e., if Lydia were to stay at home, would she revert back to her original armour or continue to wear the clothes you give her?
Super Mean Agent 20. sep. 2017 kl. 23:27
Cool mod, wonder if still works?
FireflyKnight85 21. juli 2017 kl. 15:03
anybody know of if this conflicts with Amazing Follower Tweaks? i am currently using both on a newer character, and no crashes so far.

This is what i was looking for thanks ! *Thumbs Up*

Belrand works as intended for me. I hired him and he had this iron armor, hide bracesrs, and hide boots. The way to check if the mod is working is to give him some cheap clothes, take away all his other apperal, and see if he puts on the cheap clothes you gave him. Do you have any other mods running that might conflict with mine?
Shinigami 21. juni 2016 kl. 20:52
I recently hired Belrand (sword and magic) as my follower with his default outfit and weapon. In the description of the mod the followers will have their default outfit and weapons in their inventory, but for Belrand, I can only see his default weapon, Iron Sword. Does this mod really work for all the followers or just the housecarls. (Although I haven't tried it on Lydia)
Bilbro_Swaggins 10. juni 2016 kl. 16:51
Ok thanks for the help

BamBin0XL:
Not with my mod. This is the behaviour that's built into the game, and trying to mod around it is surprisingly complicated and prone to bugginess. You'll have to find a more complex, script-based companion inventory mod if you want their clothes to stick after you dismiss them.
Bilbro_Swaggins 7. juni 2016 kl. 19:32
Sckchui, whenever a follower leaves my services and i revisit them, they have the default armor equipted. Is their anything i could do to fix this?

sckchui:
Yea it's an armor from Immersive Armors I believe.
"Tribal Fur Chestplate" (Fine) 50 Armor/ Weight 6/ Value 466
I can force her (Uthgerd) to wear the piece with console commands (Equipitem), but as soon as there is a load screen or if I give or remove anything from her inv she puts her Plate stuff back on.
I'll try a non modded follower with a basic armor. Vilkas for example. I'll see if he'll wear some Fur Armor.
sckchui  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2016 kl. 17:00
Najemnik147:
Is this Tribal Plate Armor a custom mod item? If so, what is the weight and value of the item? My mod really depends on the game's built-in evaluation of armor priority, and so might not work with custom armor.
<-Grzyzzly-Arrow-<< 11. apr. 2016 kl. 23:43
Awesome concept! (Thumbs Up!) I've used Follower Tweaks and all that and it always results in them wandering around my chosen establishment Naked af. I mean my home is their home but Ffs, put some clothes on when I bring company over.
This technically hasn't worked for me yet. Checked Uthgerd's inventory and she doesn't show any armor at all. Just wearing her regular Plate stuff & refuses to change when I give her the Tribal Plate Armor. I've read through the comments though and it seems that someone had an issue with getting this to work with a modded follower. I indeed have her looks modded a bit due to her ridiculously ugly face. Haha. I'll find another follower and try it out. Hopefully it works.
Really like that you get back to all the people commenting. Keep up the good work man!
Also, I would totally be a fan of this on Nexus as well as I'm a SKSE user.:steamhappy:

OOeeOOahAHtingTANGwallaWALLA:
I don't use SKSE but from what I understand you can launch the game from Steam once to get Steam Workshop mods downloaded and updated, then launch the game from SKSE thereafter.
Donald Trump 4. feb. 2016 kl. 9:22
Hi can you please please please put this on nexusmods? I really like some of your mods but most of Skyrim's modding community prefer nexusmods simply because we launch the game through skse and not through steam. If you can see this. Thanks =)

And y u racist man?
フモモ 20. dec. 2015 kl. 4:08
i would like to try this but can u try to make it without the requirments of dlcs ?
sckchui  [ophavsmand] 22. nov. 2015 kl. 18:35
That Darn Guy:
That's correct. This mod changes the specific items in the outfits of the followers that come with the game and the official DLCs only.
Two-Ton Kid 5. sep. 2015 kl. 19:04
Thanks for that. I'll look into all those suggestions.
sckchui  [ophavsmand] 30. aug. 2015 kl. 23:31
Two-Ton Kid:
If it's crashing for you, it's usually either a conflict with other mods (which I can't do much about), or you're not running Hearthfire, Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLCs. If you're missing any of the official DLCs, try the vanilla only version of this mod at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=352461586 .
Two-Ton Kid 30. aug. 2015 kl. 22:12
Excellent idea. It crashes my game but I'll look into it more, as I'd love to have it working. Thumbs up for the idea and that you answer peoples' queries.
voodoovibe 17. juni 2015 kl. 0:27
@sckchui: thanks for the mod and for the claricfication (sorry if i missed that part).. well the good thing about this mod is, you wont have access your followers inventory all the time everytime you go to a new area/map (esp duirng fast travel) thanks man :)
Eddie Booker 7. juni 2015 kl. 8:09
Ok. I misunderstood the point of this mod.
sckchui  [ophavsmand] 7. juni 2015 kl. 5:17
Joe Louis3849:
You're not doing anything wrong. It only works when a follower is following you, not after you dismiss them. So, as you said, she'll wear the robe when you give it to her, but when you dismiss her she'll go back to her steel armor. This behavior (NPCs reverting to their default outfits) is unchanged from the original game, and nothing can be done about it without using custom scripts. If you really want her to wear the robe after you dismiss her, you might consider trying PrinceShroob's Change Follower Outfits mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23798/? ).
Eddie Booker 7. juni 2015 kl. 3:24
Tried it. Not working. Gave Iona modded armor and placed Miraak's robes in her inventory. When I dismiss her, she reverts to her default steel armor. Brought her along a second time and removed then repalced Miraak's robes into her inventory. Dismissed her and she reverted to her default steel armor again.

Obviously I'm a moron, so can you let me know where I'm going wrong?

JadeWolf223:
I'm not going to mod other people's mods. But you might consider suggesting to whoever's custom follower mod you're using to give their characters zero value, zero armor rating outfits, so that they would function like what I have done here.
Eryxi 13. maj 2015 kl. 7:21
Sckuchi:
I was using a modded, character, I got an unmodded one that works with it, thanks!
sckchui  [ophavsmand] 12. maj 2015 kl. 18:18
JadeWolf223:
The ragged trousers work for me. Is this the Armor 0, Weight 1, Value 1 item you're talking about? And are you sure the mod is activated (follower will wear other low value things)? And are you using a follower that comes with the game (not a mod)?
Eryxi 12. maj 2015 kl. 15:44
They won't wear my ragged trousers ;-;

Dragon Sablescales:
The vanilla Skyrim only version should work for you, although it won't modify any DLC followers. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=352461586

I only have one dlc so I guess I cant use this but I like th Idea
Marauder 24. dec. 2014 kl. 9:49
I'll try the circlet fix. I actually managed to work around the hood issue finally, not sure what the deal was. I don't have a ton of extra armor laying around, but the other things I've equipped her with work just fine.
To answer your questions, I'm not using any follower-outfit specific mods, but I am using two immersive armor mods that I'm not sure would have anything to do with it, as I haven't tried to put any of the immersive armors onto a follower yet. I'm still pretty new to modding/PC Skyrim to be honest! Other than this little issue, your mod works great.
sckchui  [ophavsmand] 24. dec. 2014 kl. 4:38
Video James:
I can't reproduce your issue with her hood. In my game, she puts on whatever hat I give her. Which hood specifically are you trying? Also, are you using any other mods that might adjust follower outfits in any way? And is my mod working at all, for example can you get a housecarl to wear clothes instead of armor?
As for the Archmage's Robes, as far as I can tell that's a bug that's in the original game, because the same thing happens if you try it without my mod (if this is not true for you, tell me). It might have something to do with the fact that the Archmage's Robes doesn't occupy the circlet slot, unlike other hats and hooded robes. One workaround is to give Brelyna a circlet, which will displace her hood, which will make her equip Archmage's Robes, but you'll see the circlet.
Marauder 24. dec. 2014 kl. 0:03
Having a bit of a problem with this. Without going into TOO much detail: my main follower is Brelyna from the College of Winterhold, and whenever I try to equip other hoods her default hood doesn't replace, and when I try to put the Archmage's Robes on her she just ends up naked and doesn't equip them. Am I doing something wrong?
crayon eater 7 20. dec. 2014 kl. 15:20
It would be nice to have it on nexus so it would work with SKSE, but if it's too much trouble, then you don't have to.
gjuju642 20. dec. 2014 kl. 14:42
Thanks!
sckchui  [ophavsmand] 20. dec. 2014 kl. 14:42
gjuju642:
If you subscribed, it should be active automatically. To check, in your Skyrim launcher click on "Data Files" and see if there's a tick next to the "Followers Wear Any Apparel" plugin. If there is, it should be in your game and working. To test in your game, empty the inventory of an armour-wearing follower like a housecarl and give them some clothing and see if they put it on.
gjuju642 20. dec. 2014 kl. 14:21
how do I get it into the game? I subscribed, now what do I do?
sckchui  [ophavsmand] 12. dec. 2014 kl. 18:53
TepidTortoise:
No, I haven't put this on Nexus. Do you really really want it on Nexus?
crayon eater 7 12. dec. 2014 kl. 14:13
Is there a Nexus Link for this or no?
Jonocat25 10. dec. 2014 kl. 14:20
If I install this, I'm gonna go hire Teldryn Sero just to make him remove that mask..
sckchui  [ophavsmand] 6. dec. 2014 kl. 19:50
Two-Ton Kid:
This mod requires all three official DLC, Hearthfires, Dawnguard, and Dragonborn. If you don't have these, it will indeed crash your game. I'm considering making a version for vanilla Skyrim only. If you do have all the DLC and it still crashes your game, then please tell me because I'd like to investigate it further.

Kodiak412:
This mod doesn't change the NPC's AI, so they will behave as they did in the original game. Which is to say, Lydia will revert to her default armor when dismissed.
Kodiak412 6. dec. 2014 kl. 17:19
What happens when the follower leaves your service. For instance I take Lydia and remove her inventory. Then I give her the set of cloths I want her to wear. I then dismiss Lydia from my service. Will she continue to wear what I gave her, until I give her something else or will see automatically revert to her default armor?

Thanks!
Two-Ton Kid 6. dec. 2014 kl. 16:57
Great idea but it crashes my game every time.
