TBH, it's more of a "storage" thing since I have a preference of keeping my combat units in forts and airbases when I'm not at war. (I use the 2 units per fort mod to lessen forts needed)

@KnightHamster Getting a good unit model for those units is the hard part

I'm pretty sure river units can heal anywhere right?

This is nice, giving a new element to rivers, been using the combat boats to attack enemies near rivers and they're way faster than land units when the area is heavily forested.

Can I check if there's any intention of adding to the combat units by adding stuff like the PBR or Swift Boats for the post-Industrialization eras?

Or add a map improvement to store and repair the boats similar to the airbases map improvement mod?

@brometheus It should work fine with this mod, yes

My Various Mod Components changes the trade route UI, so this will conflict. But you can make it compatible.

In all my mods, any UI files will be in Lua/Import or XML/Import

If there are any files in EUI with an identical name as the files in those import folders, then you will need to replace those with a copy of the import file

this is amazing, thank you bro! do you know if this would work with Enhanced User Interface (EUI), I understand that one changed the DLL, or am I mistaken?

i was asking if you could make it not require those like be a vanilla mod
zai4z  [author] 16 Jul @ 5:54pm
@BrockKids1 Yes this mod needs the expansions
BrockKids1 16 Jul @ 5:14pm
i mean like the expansions for the game
zai4z  [author] 16 Jul @ 5:10pm
@BrockKids1 Do you mean DLL? Or BNW/G+K ?
BrockKids1 16 Jul @ 4:29pm
could you make it not require DLC

@Skidee I've thought about trade routes through rivers but it doesn't really work out, caravans already do that, and there is already a gold bonus from trading with cities on rivers

But you can send cargo ships through canals in my Canals mod
Skidee 13 Jul @ 11:28am
Can cargo ships move through rivers?

Good

fair enough, tho I feel like it'd still be kinda fair since in a lot of cases river cities aren't on the coast so they get a pretty big nerf from that imo, plus it's a nice way to reward good city placement. Maybe even 3 maintenance would be fair since two cities would waste like 6 gold making those and they'd probably get like 3-5 gold back, but it's your call ofc, this mod's gonna be a big hit either way :)
btw in case you're on the fence I think people would probably like the old river port (but nerfed a bit with maintenance) as a standalone option
zai4z  [author] 11 Jul @ 11:08am
@Beefy Burrito I considered this, but it would just make settling on rivers too OP, there are already many bonuses like being able to construct hydroplant and trade route gold bonus, in addition to river connection and units it would just be too much

City Connections hasn't been removed, the airport and trade connections have been moved into VMP (which you would need to be subbed to anyway to use it) and the river harbor has been moved here
Beefy Burrito 11 Jul @ 10:54am
I wish river ports still gave +1 gold per river tile, but that their maintenance was like 2 gold :(

Also why did you completely remove the More City Connections mod?
kokomadrid232 11 Jul @ 9:44am
uhhh is this legit?...casually dropped the biggest mod in game history on a random thursday.
Spaceracer 11 Jul @ 7:37am
The game has been fixed.
