Found an issue when I try to change the pregnancy chance between colonists, the tab to select them doesnt come up

@AmberGlowBug go into options and turn lovin' interval back to Vanilla. By default it's set to nothing and so they just keep going.

While this is wonderful, it feels like my pawns never STOP lovin' if they're in a relationship. I've had people losing sleep. They also keep lovin' with other random colonists almost daily, and I've had people getting pregnant. The biggest issue is the random lovin' with random colonists they have no relationship with INTERRUPTING OTHER ACTIONS. I had a person bleed out because someone wanted to suddenly lovin' my doctor mid-treatment. I had someone lovin' someone who was in bed trying to recover from an infection, taking them out of bed and walking them half way across the colony.

Tfw I only just now found out about this... this solves my problems perfectly, given that my pawns are transhumanists who do sleep, just not much (And one is a Rimworld Of Magic Monk who can just meditate instead of sleeping)

doesnt seem to be compatible with Intimacy sadly

Thank you so much, DigitalDevious. I absolutely love this mod, and I'm really glad you're keeping it updated. :MysteriaGodOfDeathHappy:

Update just submitted (it'll take a few minutes to show up)
There's now a new setting in the options to enable more strict requirements but still not require pawns to be lovers
Also fixed a bunch of bugs, lmk if I created new ones
Ben'wah 17 Jul @ 5:33pm
honestly LSP same. when i've done runs that "require" this I've defaulted to... the other one.
LSP 17 Jul @ 12:58pm
wait a minute. . . this mod is not new . . why have I been deprived all this time :steamsad:
LSP 17 Jul @ 12:55pm
about time someone thought of this this mod, I'd even go a step further and add it to the tasks assignment list, great mod I hope you fix all the problems with it

Didn't realise there were different thresholds. Shows me I guess
rausmaus 16 Jul @ 7:33pm
Thanks so much!

@dvpierce Yes, it's a weird problem to have: I don't know how to check if something is actually human, I'll have to dig through the pawn attributes to find it
DigitalDevious  [author] 16 Jul @ 2:09pm
@Oris Mador Actually not quite, romance requires age 16+ in vanilla, you may be thinking of ability to fertilize ovum which can be done at 14+
@dvpierce Yes I'm aware, the problem is checking for pawn.lifestage == lifestage.adult was easier to find than a specific check for age because the former I know where to find but age is more annoying because there are multiple types (biological/chronological) and I didn't know where to reference the one I wanted.
The checks the mod uses for bed-required lovin' (assuming you don't have the checks disabled via the mod setting) don't run into this problem because it requires they already be lovers.
I didn't want to make this check because story-wise you sometimes want to play out the narrative of short-term flings with traders or whatever that the vanilla romance mechanics don't enable.

I'll see if I can make it use the same check (based on the setting selected) next time I push an update.

@dvpierce Adulthood at 13 for romance is vanilla behaviour so you'd need an additional solution
dvpierce 15 Jul @ 9:20pm
By "underage" I mean 13, so they're "adult" in terms of pawn sprites and work assignments, but not, you know, "adults."
dvpierce 15 Jul @ 9:15pm
This mod is very useful for jump-starting families. Thank you.

"Lovin'" targets still include underage pawns, as well as tanks and stuff from the Vehicles Framework and Vanilla Vehicles Expanded. Since I'm obviously using mods, this may not be a problem with this mod specifically.

JackieLama ⚜ 15 Jul @ 7:27am
thanks for the unofficial update, now my colony can produce enough children to die in my wars
DigitalDevious  [author] 13 Jul @ 9:40am
Exactly. Before I made a custom "Is valid" checker it was showing up for animals and stuff which, y'know, is reserved for the kinky mods
Oris Mador 13 Jul @ 4:54am
Thanks for that. I'm guessing the target pruning was necessary for the no bed part once everything was fair game right?
DigitalDevious  [author] 13 Jul @ 3:29am
@rausmaus It does have a pregnancy change and AFAIK it's using the same calculation as regular.

@Karkino yes it works with any adult pawn, although I did add some checks to not give the option for e.g. drafted pawns etc, there are still a few weird edge cases like it sometimes shows up for hostile raiders (while they are still aggro'd not prisoners/slaves)

@Oris Mador not much else changed, I'm open to suggestions/bug reports.

The new "no bed required" option is a separate menu item from the regular one, for lovers or with the restrictive setting turned off they can both exist in the same menu and you can choose one or the other.
rausmaus 12 Jul @ 10:14pm
Does this include pregnancy chance as it is with normal lovin'? I tried another mod at some point where the modded version of lovin' had no pregnancy chance. This could help with my poly colonies if it does allow.
Karkino 12 Jul @ 12:21am
is there a way to make it work with not lovers? or is hardcoded
Parent_Disappointer_2005 11 Jul @ 12:29pm
YOU, AND YOU! GO SEX NOW!
Oris Mador 11 Jul @ 2:54am
What changes beside the bed requirement for 1.5 and 1.6?

@Jane Austen
I'm sure Jane Austen would have written something like that, if she had but lived longer.

thanks, my poor insatiable bisexual vampire was getting desperate
