There's a new release of Hands Off! that prevents the succession event from firing for the following types of rulers:
-Barons
- Nights Watch
- Maesters
- Kingsguard
- Theocracy
- Landless Adventurer
- Republics

Steam users are dumb, this mod is free, the dev can use whatever tools he wants 😭😭😭
Valaddar  [author] 20 Jul @ 2:52pm
@Blackfish Interesting. I'll have to put a protection on the effect so it doesn't effect Nights Watch rulers.
Blackfish 20 Jul @ 4:56am
The Mod (as far as i seen) breaks the Night Watch Election and makes them a feudal system with their leader being a king upon succession
outlander7 20 Jul @ 12:59am
its uggo, people hate uggo things
why this cornball acting tuff 😭😭😭
Romwill 20 Jul @ 12:33am
Are you people retarded? It is the normal use of AI in this situation. Why people so mad about this?
Romwill 20 Jul @ 12:30am
@outlander7 sybau🥀
outlander7 20 Jul @ 12:23am
are you people so dense you don't know how to find an image off of google? ai piss is ugly, its not complicated
GoatSkin 19 Jul @ 8:11pm
crying about AI use is cringe. developers aren't all artists. It wouldn't be realistic to expect him to commission someone for art work on a mod page he works on for free, so if he didn't use ai art it would just be a random image.
tony balony 19 Jul @ 3:46pm
this guy supports the game for free and people are really crying over him using ai to be a cover image for mod. get over yourself, ai is cool and creates well made images instantly noone cares about your sonic the hedgehog oc
Aruik 19 Jul @ 10:11am
Looks interesting, I'll test how it works in very near future but it's something that's missing in the game with random ass nobles inheriting empires while royal family still exists somewhere. Real cool!
Komissar Rudinov 19 Jul @ 8:36am
@outlander7 who cares if he or she uses AI, what a complete non-issue
outlander7 19 Jul @ 8:07am
the mod seems well made otherwise (much appreciated), but its just not a good look.
outlander7 19 Jul @ 8:07am
vv it's not hard to find some random-ass image, instead of using ai. just completely makes one lose respect
Komissar Rudinov 19 Jul @ 5:23am
You get the inheritance crisis event when you inherit your own father's title, as his vassal.
skivuslime 18 Jul @ 7:31pm
why hate ai in this case it's logic to take ai to illustrate bcs it's easier and he is not going to do it himself or search in the whole web something that match with his mod and honnestly he don't use ai in this mod i think and even if he used it why care bcs he got the idea and get help with ai
Blackbird 18 Jul @ 7:12pm
0/10 ai bait
Kirikaze 18 Jul @ 6:40pm
you should just go in the CK3 character pose thingy and make a little scene for your mods pfp you dont have to use AI, i avoided the mod a couple times when i first saw it bc of the AI picture but eventually got curious to click and the mod doesnt seem bad
YESMEN2234 18 Jul @ 6:33pm

Valaddar  [author] 18 Jul @ 5:52am
But I don't test with other mods
Valaddar  [author] 18 Jul @ 5:48am
It should be compatible with everything
CS 18 Jul @ 5:11am
This is an amazing mod! Is it compatible with mpe?
Barrett 17 Jul @ 5:09pm
compatible with more interactive vassals?
Monduin 17 Jul @ 10:39am
thank you for providing what should be a base feature in the game, CK2 has similar mechanic while ck3 needs a mod after three years since release
Valaddar  [author] 17 Jul @ 10:36am
@Týr of Andalusia - Yes. It just doesn't "fix" any lands that have already left your realm. It only works on future succession/war events.
Týr of Andalusia 17 Jul @ 7:58am
Hi, is this save compatible?
Ēarendel 16 Jul @ 3:04pm
This sounds great, only a year or two until Paradox decides to pitch a DLC on these mechanics lol
Valaddar  [author] 16 Jul @ 3:00pm
With the scenario complete, I don't plan on adding more scenarios unless someone finds another example where someone can just yoink your land away without recourse. I am openly taking feedback and AI modifiers. Basically, for each option, how should I weigh AI decisions based on their traits?
Valaddar  [author] 16 Jul @ 3:00pm
The mod has been updated with a new scenario!

If a vassal wins a foreign title equal or greater than your own, thereby taking their old lands in your realm with them (example: William with England and France - at least in the CK3 world), you can now demand they return your old land or face war
- Once the war ends and your land is taken away by your former vassal, you are presented with three options
- Demand the land be returned by threat of war (Only allowed for AI if AI Wars game rule is on - 50% chance they pick this)
- Let the land go, but maintain a claim (AI Default, 50% chance if AI Wars game rule is on)
- Let the land go
- If you demand the land be returned
- The old vassal gets an event where they can either give the land back (AI default) or go to war over the land (If you turn on the AI Wars game rule, this will be the default)
Fell Mor 16 Jul @ 10:23am
A very well planned and impressively functional mod. It was made for an express purpose, (probably as a result of personal frustration, lol) and successfully accomplishes the stated goal. We will watch your career with great interest.
Lord 16 Jul @ 10:17am
No problem! I know it would take much time. Does seem like a very promising feature though!
plantinga 16 Jul @ 9:51am
Fantastic, this makes so much more sense.
Valaddar  [author] 16 Jul @ 9:13am
@Lord - that does sounds interesting. For now, this mod is only meant to fill the "hole" left in CK3 logic around vassals just randomly usurping a Feudal ruler's rightful domain.

The next release will (hopefully) address a vassal going to war for a title outside the realm and taking their old land with them (think William and England/France/Normandy).
KingKongs223 16 Jul @ 8:45am
Great mod! Also, @Lord This suggestion would be amazing paired with AGOT.
Lord 16 Jul @ 8:37am
Thank you! What I am getting at is instead of independent lords fighting over vassal lands, vassals band togehter and declare the current king "illegitimate" and a sucesssion crisis occurs.
Perhaps they decide who should inherit.
Valaddar  [author] 16 Jul @ 8:18am
Thanks @牛奶大魔王 - I've replaced my AI generated translations with yours and credited you in the description.
Valaddar  [author] 16 Jul @ 6:57am
@Lord - I guess I don't know what you mean. This mod is meant to address the glaring issue of a Feudal Lord just randomly losing his lands to some foreign noble with no recourse. Sure, there's dejure wars, but that doesn't make sense. You already occupy the land, so why would you go to war for something you already own.

I'd need more details around what you're suggesting.
Lord 16 Jul @ 6:46am
What would you think about implementing sucesssion crsis events for vassals and the top title?
Пан Базун 16 Jul @ 2:23am
What a great idea for a mod! I love the idea, and will try it today
牛奶大魔王 15 Jul @ 7:34pm
Greetings! What a great mod, I saw it had Chinese loc but some read weird, so I did a better Chinese translation, of course, you can extract the files add in Hands off!
Would u include a line in description?

Here is my Chinese localization.

Insta-download, can't believe someone finally pulled this off! Nothing like being emperor of france and having a county in burgandy "suddenly" belong to some english knucklehead out of the blue and be "independent".
Valaddar  [author] 15 Jul @ 2:03pm
@Убить Дебила - I wish there was a way to handle scenarios such as when William conquered England, but still paid taxes to France for his Norman lands. If there is, it's beyond my skills as the game engine doesn't support it.
Убить Дебила 15 Jul @ 1:54pm
you're a hero it's a shame paradox in 5 years never made law's or somthing else to regulate external inheritance
Valaddar  [author] 15 Jul @ 1:41pm
@Убить Дебила - I've only been working on this all year... It was difficult to figure out.
Убить Дебила 15 Jul @ 1:40pm
finally someone made it
Valaddar  [author] 15 Jul @ 1:38pm
@Maño - No. The mod is 100% new code and should be compatible with pretty much everything.
Maño 15 Jul @ 1:36pm
Looking great, can't wait to try it out. What is compatibility like? Does it overwrite any files?
