Realistically you shouldn't need a watch to know roughly what time it is, or a thermometer to be able to have a good guess of what 10 degree bracket the temperature is in. I really think TIS should give us a way to check the time to the nearest hour, and the temperature to the nearest 10 degree bracket if they're going to start using the wrist slot for more things, but until then being able to wear a watch with armor will do.
@SDgamer, well, I guess we'll never know.
And as for topic about "Wear Anything", I can't say that it's straightforward off-putting, but yeah, it's too silly and bit janky. Especially seeing zombies in dress over skirt over jeans over who know what else.
Immersiveness in headcanon lore about extra layers of protection? Maybe. Do I like it? Not one bit.
