This is the perfect embodiment of a QoL mod. Thank you for your hard work :)

@SkyBlue
같은 장소에서 재시험한 결과,정상적으로 냄비만 넣어도 물을 가열 할 수 있게 되었네요.
빠른 피드백 감사합니다.

@해포
수정 해놨어요
비교 조건이 너무 많아지다 보니깐
한두가지씩 제 예상을 벗어나는 경우들이 있네요
제보 감사합니다

@해포

@GrimmCro
If there is no uncooked cookable food in the stove,
If there is burnt food inside,
If it's a microwave with metallic items inside,
If it's a microwave with only clean water inside,
Then it will not turn on.

Worked after initial instalation then suddenly started preventing me from turning stoves on. May be a conflict with something else but I have no other house appliance mods running.

Just for your info, @OP. It's a great mod, spares me the hassle, but it just died out on me.
SkyBlue  [author] 24 Jul @ 10:44am
@Primedew
For example?
Primedew 24 Jul @ 10:30am
is it compatible with functional appliances?

Hey @SkyBlue checked if it works with the mod "Project Cook"
Everything is great, thank you very much.

@Cosmo
I haven't really used the Project Cook mod myself, so I only tested basic things like adding ingredients and turning the oven/microwave on and off.
If you encounter any issues elsewhere, please let me know.
Cosmo 21 Jul @ 7:40am
@SkyBlue Hell yeah, you da best
SkyBlue  [author] 21 Jul @ 7:07am
@Cosmo
I've updated it to be compatible with the [B42] Project Cook V2.0 mod.
Cosmo 21 Jul @ 3:19am
@SkyBlue I understand, I just suggested, this author's mods are very popular now, since his UI is very cool + the cooking window is incredibly convenient, so if there is time and opportunity, it would be incredibly cool to integrate these two mods. And in general, thank you for your mod, it is very convenient that it not only turns off but also prevents food from burning.
SkyBlue  [author] 20 Jul @ 8:17pm
@Cosmo
I haven't used that mod, so I'm not sure.
Cosmo 20 Jul @ 7:41pm
@SkyBlue I wonder if this mod can be combined with the cooking mod?

So when you cook through this interface and start the oven through it, it turns off and prevents the dishes from burning.
SkyBlue  [author] 20 Jul @ 4:07pm
@Better Than You
Since there is no penalty for eating cooked food without reheating it, this mod does not take reheating into account.

While waiting to prevent foods with different cooking times from burning, the cooking time of already cooked food is set to a negative value.
Because of this, food cooked with this mod takes a very long time to reheat, even if the oven remains on.
Better Than You 20 Jul @ 3:48pm
Is there any sort of workaround to heating up food other than exiting to disable the mod entirely. I'm trying to heat up a pot of pasta because it's better hot but the oven will not turn on.

best mod in the game

@SkyBlue , no worries and thanks for the fix – it's working properly now!

And take some SP as fuel to keep going with modding – nice work! :steamthumbsup:

@ivmakk
Thank you for the detailed report.

I had tested boiling water in the oven without any issues in version 41, but I missed the changes in how it works in version 42. I apologize for that.

The issue has now been fixed and the update is complete.
I'll consider adding a mod on/off option in the future.

Thank you again!
ivmakk 18 Jul @ 3:00pm
@SkyBlue Build 42.10 – just tested and was able to reproduce it on a fresh save with only your mod enabled. I tried both "Base.Kettle" and "Base.Pot" filled with water in the oven – neither worked.

Here’s a recording:

However, it works fine with raw meat or eggs.

@ivmakk
Huh?
Could you tell me which version of Project Zomboid you're using, and which container you used to boil the water (preferably with the item code including the module, like Base.Pot)? Also, let me know whether you used an oven or a microwave.
ivmakk 18 Jul @ 1:24pm
Hey @SkyBlue , it seems I found a bug: I can't boil water in the oven anymore – I usually use it for beverages or for sterilizing bandages.

Also, a small improvement idea: it would be great to have an option in the context menu of the oven (and other supported devices) to temporary disable auto turn-off for cases like this.

I’ve tried using Auto Oven Disable before, but I really like your approach with individual timers per dish – no risk of burning something with a fast cooking time :)
