could you potentially make a toggle to where if any of your pawns are in combat mode that the speed boost is removed for all entities? It's slightly annoying when suddenly raiders run off at 8x speed and i cant chase them down.

Yes, it applies to all pawns until they enter combat.

That includes raiders.

Awesome! This is one of my must haves. Thank you very much! Suggestion: Could you add a hotkey to activate/deactivate it? Unless there is one I couldn't find it.

@T.Reaper Get the mod called Smart Speed. It lets you right click on the speed and select faster speeds for combat.

Awesome mod, really improved my run.
A few issues:
It sometimes doesn't return to normal speed when fighting against modded races(was fighting a miho in my run)
During prison break, the prisoners would run fast if there's no fight happening.

my problem with it is that the moment that something happens it doesnt go over 1x, i cannot even press 3 to have a bit more of fast combat, but apart from that the mod is great

@nickson50nic strange, that shouldn't be the case? the mod works by hooking into the function that forces normal speed (AKA when the game detects something happening that needs your attention), do you have some sort of mod that disables that?

@yautja I can try to add that function! though I am in no ways knowledgeable of C#, so it might take a bit

i'm pretty sure raiders are still going at the 8x speed when they enter the map up until they engage with my colonists, it effectively gives you less time to prep for raids because they move into your defenses faster

Hmm I see, I didn't know it, do you think it could be a configuration of somehow? So I can change speed for animals, non-player pawns, player pawns and other enemies individually? Like different sliders for those

Great mod, especially now that wxe can use bigger maps.
One issue though, the settings reset between each game. I like my pawn to move at 2x and have to set it at each game session. It always resets to x8

Thank you for this update! I had forgotten about the absurd amount of time pawns spend just moving around in vanilla, made worse by not making a min-maxed box base.

One thing I've noticed is that the mod doesn't seem to save its settings. I'll turn the boost down to 2x and it will stay at that, but on game restart it will always reset to the default 8x.

Update! I've changed how the mod works, it now functions basically the same as the original mod, and now is a LOT faster! Should be safe to add and remove from existing saves, too, since it works off of harmony patches.

update:
so, I took a deeper dive into the game code, I'm not sure if 20x is actually 20x
the game seems to internally cap the move speed, so you might not actually be getting pawns that are 20x as fast

Working great so far, thank you for sharing your updated version! And for clarity for anyone else reading the description, you can still change the speed to whatever you want, 8x is just the default.
