there was so much of this I liked... shame it's over and done with. For those wondering how it works now... all weapons fire at a slow rate and damage 1 block for a lot of damage... but that's it... 1 block. no spread or explosion or anything. Large and small blocks... it doesn't matter. each and every gun does this. Godspeed Catinspacepants

Just wondering, as this is broken, how would you feel about other mod authors going and reviving the guns back up to working state? I know i for one would love to see these guns working again. Also, same would go for your flak series :D

It was due to a change in the gatling gun's API.

It was funny to fool around with it yeah. I don't know why it doesnt work, I haven't played the game or touched any mod I made here for 2-3 years xd But in creative mode it should work, maybe try loading some ammo to it, like 1 shell or smth and then try again ;)

But I do remember that once, conveyors stopped working and I couldn't figure out why, even though I re-made the necessary components for the model and set up everything just like the devs did. Eventually they started working again.

I gueess it was buggy back then, and it's close to obsolete now. Or is it? XD

Seems like a fun mod, but I just can't get the damn cannons to fire. I connected it to a grid with power, hopped into the cockpit, put the cannon at the hotbar, but still nothing. It doesn't shoot no matter what I do. I'm in creative btw.

Perhaps you can shed some light on this problem?

That cannon just pointlessly chunks grids with the shrapnel damage mod and such. My using these predated that, but I remember them being reasonably balanced.

Yo, I believe I have the model somewhere still (btw I recall it's so unoptimalised that it hurts me when I think about it now, I wonder how come ppl use it efficiently).

I tried adding conveyor system originally and they worked for a brief moment, then I done something and they stopped working, even though I was re-doing them several times. Dunno why, some bug or stupid mistake on my part probably.

Overpowered? Yeah idk about that :P I made it that so it fitted to my space tanks, which were fricking huge.

OMG it may be coming back!? Best night ever! Someone had at one point made a DX11 conversion and I was using it. Then it was taken down and I was lucky enough to have the old download info on my drive and have a resurrected copy of the DX11 version. I was about to ask you permission to try my hand at re-uploading it so that it wouldn't be lost to "unused mod hell." That said, the only way this mod could have ever been made better was to allow it to use conveyors they have not historically done so, if memory serves me correctly. Anyway, I'm really glad you have started to give this mod some thought again and I hope all is going well for you. Cheers!

Yes, the CSD Battlecannon came back, yes it's phenominal again. Yes the 128mmTankCannon mod came back, but it's laughably overpowered. I get mods because I like a variety. If I wanted to make everything the same way I would just play full vanilla, but that's too boring. A variety of balanced mods that work well together, yet provide different styles or abilities, is what makes my space engineers world go 'round.

Hey guys, I never expected this to be this popular and liked.

And just for that fact, I may come back one day and fix this mod. Hard to do when you moved on a long time ago though :\

I also havee no idea if modding havee changed and how much havee it changed over the course of those few years.

But I'm very glad you liked my baby steps here :"D

Also, aren't there way more cooler and complex mods out there? I would imagine that this would be forgotten in 2018..

Sadly the update has ruined this mod, none of the guns fire anymore and they all have a pink texture :( Please fix this as many of my tanks need this mod

good luck to ur game development endeavour. one thing i know, having an idea is the easy part, actually putting one together, thats the hard part. LOTS of time sweat and patience cuz u KNOW something is gonna get screwed up and need to be fixed

your mod was actually needed for some ship Blueprint mods acrio, thats why it was so popular one in perticular i remember i believe was called the Pathfinder

Because right now, all you can see and all you can hear about are concepts, ideas, thoughts.
All those magnificent creations that noone will use, because there is no ocasion to use them.

Space Enginners is just an illusion, a playground for kids if you will.

It all stands on dreams, dreams about how great it would be to use community made crations in the actual multiplayer action.

But those are just dreams and thoughts, not reality.

Second important reason is a lack of time for many activities I would love to take part in, but my studies are demanding and I cannot allow myself for such "waste" of a precious resource called Time.

Oh by the way, I together with my friend are now oficially taking part in the Game Developing Course programm, which means we'll be creating our own game during next 6-7 months period.

We have an idea, we want to try, I think if we'll be able to make it to the point which the two of us have talked about, we may have an interesing project to share. And hopefully we'll keep working on it and eventually create a nice, original game.


With all that said don't loose faith, there are enough modders out there.

I've said it many times, games boring for me, maybe 1 more year and KSH will finally make it interesting like it should be at this point. Don't get me wrong LEGO bricks are fun to play with, but what shall I do next with what I've built?

Game has no multiplayer nor singleplayer point/goal as of yet - 2 years of constant weekly updates :/

Now I know Planets are beautiful, but it doesn't make this game much more playable than before their implementation. Now you can build on planets and such, but it's still pointless.

We need good, advanced and stable multiplayer system, few big official servers with clear rules concidering modding and maybe even bots to fullfill the space population (corporations, mercenaries, pirates, etc).

I won't work on a game that I don't want to play, what's the point of that? I won't be able to test my creations myself and tweek their custom properties.

On the bright side I've started second year on Silesian University of Technology and very soon will have a chance to start a course of programming and game developing with specialists of the gaming industry :D

I feel you, I've started working on weapon mods a little before it was possible to implement to the game. There was that other guy that started doing weapons too, just a week before me and was clearly more experienced and more succesful than me starting from zero level.

I've lost intrest though, because of the game being boring and lack of certain programs and knowledge to do a better job.

Since then I've worked very little on any mods for this game. At 1 point thanks to one user I've started working on clone trooper character model, but unfortunately I was a rookie and SE implemented modification that erased game models .rar file which I was using to learn at the beggining.

Also they've changed the character model and it's skeleton, meaning my work went to trash immediately :(

Sorry to hear that this amazing mod won't carry on anymore, maybe you can get the person who made the Reworked Armor Ramps to help? As for the Tiger 9, it's my own creation; basically take the armor of an Abrams but the idea of the Tiger 2 and create a magnificent horror.

Hope these make it to DX11, I love them. I was about to release all the tanks I made with these but then DX11 struck and ultimately killed that idea. I still have them and when every other mod is upgraded, I will be releasing the tanks. My favorite was the Tiger IX I made using this mod for it's main gun. o7
