"They are 4x the volume of the stock Large.
Their thrust performance is (4 * Stock) * 0.892. This works out about 3.57x the thrust instead of the baseline 4x.
Power performance is (4 * Stock) * 1.431. This works out as using 5.7x the power instead of the baseline 4x.
In short, more power hungry, less thrust than expected but they allow for an increase on the X axis of a ship, not just the Y and Z. Larger crafts can use them to be faster, but in theory, with the same percentage of their volume dedicated to engines as a smaller ship, they will still remain slightly slower."
would be a chalange to fit the color^^, if you want i make you a recolor without balancing changes, link me the wanted engines and i look at some myself after i find a matching color grade ;-)

I'm not online that much unless you happen to be in about GMT+4 but I'll drop you my e-mail address or something as well.
Just a link to either this item or the mods collection is fine.
If you need any help, let me know!
Looking forward for bigger brother Helios!
PS: you design ships, you have awesome Photoshop skills, and you've picked up modeling, texturing, and modding? Is there anything you can't do?!
@ Theclucker - Wrong file, but yes, there will be changes to the viewscreens coming. Just waiting on a bit more API info :)
@MagnusEffect - Ah, thatks for pointing that out; there's a lot of medium thruster mods out there but this one does actually seem more or less how I'd have made it so I will probably just recommend it rather than add my own.
@Killer96 - Yes please, that would be great! I think I might already be in the Skype chat actually, been lurking and asking for the odd bit of help for a while :)
When I move beyond my current Fighter-Bomber phase, I will try them on something larger. Looking forward to it, and hopefully with collision.

not entirely sure of its stats, but I've used it before and it feels about right in terms of game balance. might save you the effort of making your own version if it meets your expectations.
(im not that good with constructing large ships...)
2x2x3 was on my spreadsheet as well... while I think the use as an ahead-engine will be very limited (maybe around the Corvette range), they'd make a great lateral thruster for cruisers and like likes where mounting a large is hard but smalls are just too small.
Next on the list however is closing the final major gap; between the Titan and the Prometheus. Next up will be the Helios 5x5x12. WIll also put out a re-balanced Medium (I really think they never intended that to be used as-is, just as an example).
and also some 2x2x3 trusters (2 blocks wide 2 blocks high and 3blocks long). for small and large ships both ideas.
Power wise, they're not expensive at all. One XL provides 3.5x the Thrust as a large (while occupying 4x the volume). Power wise it consumes about 30% more per N of thrust provided. The main reason for this is to prevent smaller ships from overstacking large engines as they're forced to dedicate more and more or their volume to power (which they likely can't afford to do). On a larger ship however a 30% increase in needed reactors should hardly even register.
