@v0rtex2002: I can delete video links I posted that may disclose stuff, let me know if you think so.
I tried the move you showed many many times, it did not work. Then I decided to go to the initial (much better) approach, going on the crenels: https://youtu.be/R4-ydjbM0_s
As for the purple sigil, it can only be accessed after reaching the 'tower star' - the one over the main entrance.

I think that kind of a convoluted puzzle shows an exaggerated dedication of the creator. It is not enjoyable when it's really hard to solve using a walkthrough.
Yes, thanks for that video. Helped a lot with the star in Window pains.
Was it the one in which you had to fly on a cube to activate the recorder and then grab a jammer in flight? This was the most annoying part for me, trying to get that jammer.
Anyway, finished! Best one I've played in ages, thank you.
There was a puzzle in the original game workshop - one of the "Only Puzzles" ones (which on the whole I like) that took me 4 evenings - USING A WALKTHROUGH. One of the steps was recording a 4 minute sequence - drove me round the bend, but you couldn't progress without doing it. I think that's when I lost patience with the more convoluted stuff and found the cheats console.
I glitched out because I decided I decided I needed the connector on top of three cubes and was doing the trick where you perch things on the edge (instead of using the barrier). I picked up one cube then tried to pick up the other 2 with connector on top from underneath. Apparently that doesn't work.
Nah - I'll never create those kind of puzzles, as I personally hate them. While the solutions for some of my puzzles might be a bit obscure, I will always try to create fair, solvable solutions.
How did you manage to get shot out of the puzzle like that? Collision with the horizontal plasma door?
The hint I would give is: stack the tools on top of the plasma door with the platform on the button.
I you're still stuck after that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1RcSbKX4k0

I do like your hints - should be compulsory.
I must confess, on seeing cat's cradle I thought "no thanks, next there's going to be a philosophical joke in hexadecimal and a series of painful softlocks", it didn't help that I hadn't noticed one fence was low enough to jump over.
There's a star on a tall order, I;ve tried jumping to it from the tower fan about 20 times, am I wasting my time?
