Awesome mod.

That being said, anyone wanting to try it, beware of the spawn point of the reinforcement. It's now a little bit more difficult.

Can confirm it works in LWOTC. Seen all three cutscenes with no issues, including some mod maps where roads are present. Great mod.

I have to say, this is an impressively clever mod in how it fits into the game. Feels just like an 'obvious' part of what should have been in the base game but was somehow forgotten.

@Vaultwulf It should work with that, and if the map has no periphery road parcels reinforcements will drop normally with the dropship

Will this work with something like Universal Enemy Compatibility Patch and if a modded map does not have a periphery road parcel will reinforcements work normally?

Had a VERY cool reinforcement thing happen. Was playing a modded mission to hold out for a few waves in an Advent City. Had multiple Advent flairs pop and then had really great mixed reinforcements come in. Air Transport dropped in a Captain and 3 troopers. Then the next flair brought in a armored ground transport from behind me on the road where an Advent Bio Captain and 2 heavy Bio Assault Troopers get out to flank me. WAS SUPER COOL! These are the types of mods that you never expect to make the game feels very fresh again. Coming from a guy that has been modding this game for years... THANK YOU!!!

The spawn change got me by surprise, they can come behind your troops if theres a road. Really a nice surprise, now you will never be sure where they will come.

Can confirm that nothing LWotC did to the game prevents this mod from working. Just got a tank reinforcement with a MEC chasing it. Phenomenal stuff!

it works in LWOTC (in a existing save), so far I saw 1 cutscene with 2 LWOTC troopers and 1 shieldbearer arriving on foot on a supply mission.
Really hope to see some custom cutscenes for XCOM too.

This is amazing, I've always wondered why there wasn't many animation mods all the way back when the drone animation was first introduced; One small thing I'd like to mention is regarding the arrival on foot, I think the camera should be around the sides or editing the one from the back to slowly be moving up to capture the entire column as they come in.

@Soul It defaults to a dropship cutscene when it can't find a place to put a land transport cutscene to. There's a config variable for a chance to switch a dropship arrival to a land transport, by default its 50%

Just to know a bit more about the modded maps,if you know ofc,if theres no periphery road parcel,will it default to a dropship cutscene then or just bug out?
Also is there something that determine if its a road drop or air drop? Like a % chance maybe?
