It does not require the DLC, so if alpha biomes still has healing springs without the DLC you should be good.

Does this require the DLC or no?

Ok, verified. I was waiting for rain so I could have water in my tubs in case the springs didnt work.

but my well got destroyed and the tubs are still empty... and my people went to the spring water and used it. so ya, it works.

@rohzdear I haven't tried it but I think it'd work, presumedly the code for searching for water sources is the same.
Rohzdear 27 Jul @ 2:32pm
Would this work with DBH Lite, or do we need a different version for that one?
Shinoskay 27 Jul @ 11:19am
ill delete the well and check
azrazalea  [author] 26 Jul @ 11:34pm
I'm still going to look into it, but that's my guess on what you're seeing.
azrazalea  [author] 26 Jul @ 11:34pm
Ah gotcha, they will prefer wells and tubs over surface water if they exist so it _could_ just be that. You can see the same behavior if you build a well right next to a river, lake, pond, etc they'll ignore the surface water and just use the well (and tubs, sinks w/e). I think this is intended by dub's.

I had a well, like 7 tubs, and several healing springs. the well is the farthest away.

as of adding this mod, they cleaned out the tubs, and constantly go to the well... still seemingly ignoring the many healing spring water spots along the way to the well. I also dont see a way to manually tell them to use the healing spring water (right clicked to try that). so it SEEMS like its not working, to me.

@shinoskay Interesting, I tested it when I made it but I can take a look and see if something changed. They've been updating a lot
Shinoskay 26 Jul @ 12:33pm
I dont think this is working with alpha biomes.
my pawns are still not bathing or drinking from the healing spring water.
SiaNKs 23 Jul @ 7:48pm
I dont see point in bathing zones anyway, even if u have it on, i assume pawns will either choose the Zone or closest body of water, so it wont be consistent.

Also, u can get disease from swimming in untreated water?? I know its a thing for bathtubs but didnt know its also for Map water, as these things can change and be dynamic and also mods might add more types of water and therefore it will require patch.

It would be a lot of hussle to add feature like this, but if its there then good to know
azrazalea  [author] 23 Jul @ 3:46pm
@SiaNKs there's a 1.6 version on the discord in testing. Unfortunately they use bathing zones not terrain which is a bit harder (though not necessarily impossible) so I haven't been able to figure it out yet
SiaNKs 23 Jul @ 3:19pm
@wynnyx How? ReGrowth is not in 1.6 and if it will, it might not even have bathing zone as a feature at all
azrazalea  [author] 22 Jul @ 10:08am
@wynnyx I'll take a look tonight
wynnyx 22 Jul @ 8:05am
Could you please also add bathing area from ReGrowth: Core? They are currently working on updating it from their comments.
azrazalea  [author] 22 Jul @ 1:14am
@drunken eagle yeah this is just meant to be temporary while Dub's catches up anyway, I'm sure he'll add his own support soon
Drunken Eagle 22 Jul @ 12:49am
Don't let this big aqua propaganda fool you, hot spring water is not safe to consume in the long term and healing water can cause chronic constipation.

Joking aside, I understand where this is coming from and I have no right to tell others how to mod and play their game.
Cheezer 22 Jul @ 12:36am
Thanks dude, awesome work!
