BPM is more rigid than vanilla, but not as much. Even if your ruler makes it difficult to pass a law, there's still a chance you could bypass the veto through event changes (especially BPM events). There's still a reason to try, even if the law is tough. It's more rigid, logical, and predictable than vanilla, but perhaps less so than having no RNG at all.
Just wanted to share my thoughts—I really like BPM’s system and hope to find a simpler, more compatible alternative like yours.
Thanks for this mod (pls add it to the base game paradox) and I'm pretty sure this should be compatible with Tech&Res but to be sure I'm asking anyway. Also wanted to ask what files this mod touches to get an idea of what else it might be incompatible with.
in this mod I added a negative effect for votes from opposing movements, which was not present in BPM, and with further balancing I think it could be on the same difficulty level as vanilla
The events are gone, but IMO they became stale pretty quickly, maybe except for law-specific ones
Some RNG is still present in the form of random IG ruler traits, which can heavily influence their stances
I personally dislike RNG, and while some is necessary, I think it shouldn't impact the game so heavily as it does with law enactment.
In the end, it is a matter of opinion I guees
Also, a bit of RNG can be immersive as a way to represent natural unpredictability in a simple way (unexpected things happen in politics). The events that come from that RNG also add to immersion, flavor and roleplay. Do events even fire at all with this mod?
Overall, it's a nice niche mod and I really appreciate you taking the time to make it, but personally, I'd prefer to have at least a little bit of rng without it being ONLY rng, like BPM Lite delivers quite nicelly in my opinion.
