@Shadow Dragon It's fine, we don't mind.

Very nice mod! Thank you, and please don't stop this mod. It's exactly what I am looking for and nobody offers just this. So it's unique in it's own way!

Yea from what i can tell, you did what you coud, and tried to make your own spin on it, so i woud say you are in the Clear

This mod is based on BPM Lite Lite, in which I separated the enactment mechanics from everything else in BPM. I asked if it's okay to upload on BPM's discord and got no aswer, and I credited them on both mods. If BPM team requests I take down this mod I will, but so far I think I did everything correctly

You wrote that you added a single thing. I mean that is still plagiarism. Just ask the BPM authors if you can make a modmod and call it that. I don´t know BPMlite Hard mode or so.

The difference between this and BPM Lite Lite is explained in a comment below

even the size of the files is equal to BPM Lite Lite, how is this not a copy?
Shadow Dragon 29 Jul @ 12:41pm
Is this just a copy from BPM? Would be very uncool.

It's definitely a matter of opinion. What I'm concerned about is that this could make law enactment too "rigid"—not necessarily harder, but more inflexible. Once you try to pass a law, you know pretty quickly if it'll succeed. You just check the projections, see if you can sway enough votes to avoid a veto, and if not, cancel it. It could become very "binary."

BPM is more rigid than vanilla, but not as much. Even if your ruler makes it difficult to pass a law, there's still a chance you could bypass the veto through event changes (especially BPM events). There's still a reason to try, even if the law is tough. It's more rigid, logical, and predictable than vanilla, but perhaps less so than having no RNG at all.

Just wanted to share my thoughts—I really like BPM’s system and hope to find a simpler, more compatible alternative like yours.

I really dislike RNG and specifically the events which as you said got stale after a while of getting the same events over and over again. Whether RNG is realistic or not doesn't really matter to me because it's not fun for me.
Thanks for this mod (pls add it to the base game paradox) and I'm pretty sure this should be compatible with Tech&Res but to be sure I'm asking anyway. Also wanted to ask what files this mod touches to get an idea of what else it might be incompatible with.

@Archscientist K Thanks for the feedback,
in this mod I added a negative effect for votes from opposing movements, which was not present in BPM, and with further balancing I think it could be on the same difficulty level as vanilla
The events are gone, but IMO they became stale pretty quickly, maybe except for law-specific ones
Some RNG is still present in the form of random IG ruler traits, which can heavily influence their stances
I personally dislike RNG, and while some is necessary, I think it shouldn't impact the game so heavily as it does with law enactment.
In the end, it is a matter of opinion I guees

I like this idea, but wouldn't this version make law enactment just way too easy? I haven't played with it yet, but passing laws is already quite a bit faster with BPM LIte Lite, so this could make it even faster.
Also, a bit of RNG can be immersive as a way to represent natural unpredictability in a simple way (unexpected things happen in politics). The events that come from that RNG also add to immersion, flavor and roleplay. Do events even fire at all with this mod?

Overall, it's a nice niche mod and I really appreciate you taking the time to make it, but personally, I'd prefer to have at least a little bit of rng without it being ONLY rng, like BPM Lite delivers quite nicelly in my opinion.

@teelicht In this mod there is only one stage of law enactment, and there is no RNG involved. In BPM Lite Lite there are 3 stages, and the first two are RNG-based. I also played around a bit with values for whether IGs vote for or against the law

What differentiates this mod from BPM Lite Lite?
