I was considering it, but it also opens up traversal of the ocean, immunity to earthquake, and a few other things that made it a questionable fit. There's just one bounty hunter line though, so if you want to edit a local copy it's pretty straightforward in a way some other mods (including some of my other mods) sometimes aren't.

Any chance a promoted Bounty Hunter could get Floating? Samus does pretty well with fall damage and rugged terrain. I wanna yeet my bounty hunter off the cloud layer and crash into an enemy citadel

Patched up the easy stuff, getting the weapons to work might take more than the quick five minutes I had - there's some system interactions in play.

I just looked at the c5m file, phantoon and ridley are missing pointers to their sprite files.

It should generally spawn 4 pirate towers and only 2 fall to attacks, so that part's potentially working fine (and did in the test games), but I'll take a look at the items (didn't really test those too thoroughly; see: "low effort screwing around mod").

The item versions of the powerups, excepting energy tanks and the varia suit, don't seem to work, missiles don't fire, let alone only once 'at the start of a battle' and the beam attacks are never fired from my testing, both equipped to a base bounty hunter and unmodded game units. Also some of the boss spawns don't seem to work, I swear one said someone was taking over a space pirate, a la the classic gold mine invasion, but that tile was under my control and remained so. Unless the game spawned a pirate tile on another plane, both torizos, crocomire and spore spawn appeared fine tho.

Overall, good mod, I like it! The writing for events/unit descriptions felt a little dry, and the wording of this mod page's Features gave me the false impression that this mod came with a special custom map, but I really like how neatly this slots in to the regular CoE experience and the progression for Samus felt pretty nice

Have played a bit more. Now it is clear that the event was generating a hunter for whoever currently had the ship. In general, I think this is a really cool mod! Once I figured out what the morph ball ritual did, it was legit quite distinctive and useful. I liked the suit upgrade promotion too. In general, all the ways this spiced up the random wandering monsters was quite fun. Have not tussled with any of the bosses yet, but those space pirates generated a few neat complications to my game

Got an event that claimed a bounty hunter was joining my forces... but when I checked out the ship it definitely looked like hunter and metroid had moved off as a hostile special NPC faction. Still, I do like the weird aliens that have arrived. Will try a bit more and see what happens
