I checked the mod, unsubscribed and subbed and it still contains all the working assets that display correctly. Is it missing all assets for you or just some or just textures.. ?

Also, when playing 2 player games we have found it to play much better by using the following house rules:
1. Each player gets 2 colors and scrambles them without looking at bottoms.
2. Place 2 at a time back and forth until all placed
3. On each players turn the draw 2 sand or 2 grass instead of 1
4. When only stone is left you revert to drawing 1 tile

This methods makes games run much faster and they are much more intense. You also have more fun since you don't really know if that boat ate by a sea serpent was a 6,6,5 or 1,1,1...

This multi tile draw works well with standard one color each too.

Welcome Jockopablo! Never too late for a game this old. :)
It is simple to randomize the tiles.
Step 1: Remove the sea serpent from the middle water spot
Step 2: Select "Zones" from left side tools
Step 3: Select "Randomize zone" tool and then draw square over island pieces
Step 4: Choose Randomize...

This will completely randomize all the island pieces and the original setup with stone in middle will be replaced by true randomness.. when we play we don't mind since it gives the poor land locked nessy a chance to escape earlier before being blown to smitterines or whirpooled up. As long as you follow the sand first, then grass, then stone removal order it plays fine. I made the island tiles slightly smaller that normal so you can also easily rearrange them if you like as well.

I'm very late to the party, but thanks for this. It was one of my favorite board games as a kid. Is there any way to quickly randomize or rep-place the island tiles for each new game?

I have no plans to mod this any further. It is just a port of the original Survive!
That said, you can easily make a 5th set of meeples by copying a color and right clicking them one by one and choosing tint with any color. This will make the meeple black and the underside number the choosen color (yeah.. but black is a color). You could also copy a color set and clone an object (like a hat) and sticky it to a set making an obvious different set though colored same as other... As for rules, find them and I will at least link to them in my description.
Wookie 20 Apr, 2017 @ 3:24pm
There is a 5-6 player expansion for this. It seems to just add more meeples and modify a few rules slightly (thought I can't find the exact details). Any chance you could copy paste the meeples set and change the base colours?

I have moved all my images for my mods from Dropbox over to Imgur since Dropbox will no longer support hosting files externally after October 2016. It was a pain but it had to be done if these mods were to live on (plus 100s of other post and mods of mine around the internet with linked images).
I have checked them all as best as I can and I do not believe any image links are missing. However, if you come across one after you have unsubscibed and resubscribed to the mod then please let me know what the object is and what mod its from please.

See mods below!

All image link locations have been changed to another host due to dropbox no longer supporting hosting of images after 10/2016. If you see any unlinked textures please let me know!

when i try to load up the game, it doesn't load. im gonna try unsubcribing and resubcribing to it
Perry the Platypus  [author] 4 Jun, 2016 @ 3:31pm
What exactlly can you not get to work? I just unsubscribed/resubscribed and loaded mod and it all still works as designed...
OneScale 4 Jun, 2016 @ 1:07pm
i cant seem to get it to work
Loth 15 Nov, 2015 @ 11:11am
I contributed to something! :D

Haha! Thanks for taking it on board ;)

Survive! has been updated with some of the changes suggested by Loth below!
I have shrunk the pieces and have to agree they work much better, and make the island MUCH easier to build. I did not add the randomize box but I did setup the island and Serpents for play.
I figure hosts can easily drag their own box around my existing island if they want to randomize (which is really awesome btw!)

Note for those who liked the large island peices: If you don't like the scale of any item in the mod (except the board itself) you can scale them up and down using the -/+ key when highlighting them, or groups of them. It takes like 5 seconds to get them all. I find the new scale pieces play much better and you can actually grab the boat under the meeples now taking advantage of the "sticky" ability.
Loth 12 Nov, 2015 @ 2:44pm
A couple of friends and I have played this a few times here and IRL and we absolutely love it!

We've shrunk the peices a bit since downloading it, everything by one step in TTS and the sea creatures by an extra one, and everything fits very nicely on the board that way.
Also added a random zone over the island with all the land tiles placed, so when we load it up we just randomize a couple of times til the beach tiles aren't breaking the rules and off we go.

Would be really nice if that could be set up in the mod, makes starting the game much easier :)

Thanks for uploading this. It was one of my favorite board games growing up. It'll be nice to get a chance to play it again.
Fallenglory 14 Jan, 2015 @ 9:48am
Yeah me and 2 friends played this game 2 times now, was great fun with a few unexpected twists.
Perry the Platypus  [author] 13 Jan, 2015 @ 4:27pm
Wow, 300 subscribers! Your welcome!
Thanks everyone, glad to see the old classic is being given a new lease on life.
Fallenglory 13 Jan, 2015 @ 1:34pm
thnx for this game!
Narcio 7 Jan, 2015 @ 9:01pm
Yeah, it works for me now.

Thanks for the fix.
Perry the Platypus  [author] 7 Jan, 2015 @ 4:41pm
Thanks for tracking that down!
It seems one of the old files was still looking for an old texture file.
I have copied the new one and simply renamed the copy as the old since the texture locations remained unchanged in the two. The link you posted now links correctly to the art so see if that didn't fix the issue you were having.
Narcio 7 Jan, 2015 @ 7:23am
Ok, by searching for "http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=pHEJsvy7" in your mod's .json I found associated with it this link:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2346355/SurviveTTS/survivetextures100.jpg
which gives me the 404 error when I manually try to load it in my web browser, so I think thats the problem file, not the obj its associated with, whose link works.
Narcio 7 Jan, 2015 @ 7:19am
Also, I get a "WWW Error: 404 Not Found" in my chat log when I try to load the game up.

Can you tell me what the testure image link / file is supposed to be that goes with that beach piece that corresponds with the obj file I linked?
Narcio 7 Jan, 2015 @ 7:15am
Ok, so I took a look at the link manually and found that the object file I linked was already in my custom models in my user dir for TTS. So that file apparently is not the problem.

However I still get TTS bringing a dialog up that says "Custom Model" with that link in both the obj line, and the "Custom Mesh Collider URL" when I try to load this game. The Texture image url is blank and the normal/bump image url is blank. Maybe its one of the texture images that are not present thats causing this dialog.

I don't know.
Perry the Platypus  [author] 4 Jan, 2015 @ 2:12pm
That is a beach peice with boat spawn indicator.
I am showing the link still valid and working.
Anyone else having issue with this?
Narcio 3 Jan, 2015 @ 8:49am
I'm getting a dead link for this custom model piece:
http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=pHEJsvy7
Anyone able to upload or share it somewhere? I think these are for the terrain tiles.

Awesome!! A friend of mine from my home town introduced me to this game. I've been wanting to play again... now I can!
Perry the Platypus  [author] 14 Dec, 2014 @ 11:48pm
Putting the meeples on the current boat and "pushing" it using the SHIFT-mouseArrow feels much like moving the old ones anyways.. you were always spilling the people off anyways.
The problem with designing a boat to hold them is you would have to tweak your lift height every game of physics would throw them out or bounce them out if you didn't "T" them down every move.. Maybe one day TTS will add a magnetize or sticky toggle so items will stick to others at orientation (much like they just added the token ability to "stack"). If they do I will gladly redesign the boats and meeples to work with it.. until then.. also you can shrink the meeples yourself via the +/- keys if you don't like my oversized ones.
TRagedy 14 Dec, 2014 @ 5:04pm
I think an Idea to re-design the boats and meeples so they work online would be better. I know its nice to look like original game but you also want it to function. Maybe create meeples
that fit inside a wood boat ( Im thinking of the game of life )
Perry the Platypus  [author] 14 Dec, 2014 @ 1:46pm
It shouldn't matter except on the fairly rare times one 3 people from different teams are in the bag(boat), just TINT the bag by right clicking to the color of the controlling player and untinted means anyone can control. Also use the LOCK-apply on island pieces to keep them from shifting and being accidently knocked around, simply unlock when its time to play one (the host can remove tiles or they can share unlock power with all).
TRagedy 14 Dec, 2014 @ 12:46pm
Loot bag is not a bad idea, but you would not be able to see who is in the boat, just how many.
Perry the Platypus  [author] 14 Dec, 2014 @ 5:58am
Until they come up with a sticky object type or I decide to make a boat model with side I would recommend either moving them seperately or using loot bags for boats and dropping the pieces in them.. the bag will then display # of items and you can just keep it 3 or less.
TRagedy 13 Dec, 2014 @ 10:10pm
Whats the best way to move a loaded Boat? Each time i pick it up , it spills and you see the hidden numbers on the players.
