1. Each player gets 2 colors and scrambles them without looking at bottoms.
2. Place 2 at a time back and forth until all placed
3. On each players turn the draw 2 sand or 2 grass instead of 1
4. When only stone is left you revert to drawing 1 tile
This methods makes games run much faster and they are much more intense. You also have more fun since you don't really know if that boat ate by a sea serpent was a 6,6,5 or 1,1,1...
This multi tile draw works well with standard one color each too.
It is simple to randomize the tiles.
Step 1: Remove the sea serpent from the middle water spot
Step 2: Select "Zones" from left side tools
Step 3: Select "Randomize zone" tool and then draw square over island pieces
Step 4: Choose Randomize...
This will completely randomize all the island pieces and the original setup with stone in middle will be replaced by true randomness.. when we play we don't mind since it gives the poor land locked nessy a chance to escape earlier before being blown to smitterines or whirpooled up. As long as you follow the sand first, then grass, then stone removal order it plays fine. I made the island tiles slightly smaller that normal so you can also easily rearrange them if you like as well.
That said, you can easily make a 5th set of meeples by copying a color and right clicking them one by one and choosing tint with any color. This will make the meeple black and the underside number the choosen color (yeah.. but black is a color). You could also copy a color set and clone an object (like a hat) and sticky it to a set making an obvious different set though colored same as other... As for rules, find them and I will at least link to them in my description.
I have checked them all as best as I can and I do not believe any image links are missing. However, if you come across one after you have unsubscibed and resubscribed to the mod then please let me know what the object is and what mod its from please.

SURVIVE! Escape the Island!

Haha! Thanks for taking it on board ;)
I have shrunk the pieces and have to agree they work much better, and make the island MUCH easier to build. I did not add the randomize box but I did setup the island and Serpents for play.
I figure hosts can easily drag their own box around my existing island if they want to randomize (which is really awesome btw!)
Note for those who liked the large island peices: If you don't like the scale of any item in the mod (except the board itself) you can scale them up and down using the -/+ key when highlighting them, or groups of them. It takes like 5 seconds to get them all. I find the new scale pieces play much better and you can actually grab the boat under the meeples now taking advantage of the "sticky" ability.
We've shrunk the peices a bit since downloading it, everything by one step in TTS and the sea creatures by an extra one, and everything fits very nicely on the board that way.
Also added a random zone over the island with all the land tiles placed, so when we load it up we just randomize a couple of times til the beach tiles aren't breaking the rules and off we go.
Would be really nice if that could be set up in the mod, makes starting the game much easier :)
Thanks everyone, glad to see the old classic is being given a new lease on life.
Thanks for the fix.
It seems one of the old files was still looking for an old texture file.
I have copied the new one and simply renamed the copy as the old since the texture locations remained unchanged in the two. The link you posted now links correctly to the art so see if that didn't fix the issue you were having.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2346355/SurviveTTS/survivetextures100.jpg
which gives me the 404 error when I manually try to load it in my web browser, so I think thats the problem file, not the obj its associated with, whose link works.
Can you tell me what the testure image link / file is supposed to be that goes with that beach piece that corresponds with the obj file I linked?
However I still get TTS bringing a dialog up that says "Custom Model" with that link in both the obj line, and the "Custom Mesh Collider URL" when I try to load this game. The Texture image url is blank and the normal/bump image url is blank. Maybe its one of the texture images that are not present thats causing this dialog.
I don't know.
I am showing the link still valid and working.
Anyone else having issue with this?

Anyone able to upload or share it somewhere? I think these are for the terrain tiles.
The problem with designing a boat to hold them is you would have to tweak your lift height every game of physics would throw them out or bounce them out if you didn't "T" them down every move.. Maybe one day TTS will add a magnetize or sticky toggle so items will stick to others at orientation (much like they just added the token ability to "stack"). If they do I will gladly redesign the boats and meeples to work with it.. until then.. also you can shrink the meeples yourself via the +/- keys if you don't like my oversized ones.
that fit inside a wood boat ( Im thinking of the game of life )
