It's still working as of August 2019, at least on the main branch. I have a world with ginourmous both evergreen and birch trees right now. :)

Is this mod still working?
EldVarg 20 Jun, 2017 @ 5:43am
I think the twiggy trees grows too large.
Would be nice to have option settings for grow rate, spread rate and so on for the trees.

TREES!!! TREES EVERYWHERE
klankford1983 21 Feb, 2015 @ 6:37am
great mod, love teh diversity it gives. only thing... did you ajust teh log drop rate for the larger trees? it seems like even the huge trees drop the same as a tall tree. maybe like one more log per tree size growth?
BreadBear 20 Feb, 2015 @ 11:45am
You know what? I don't really like treeguards. I like this mod, with or without them. I always have the mistfortune to spawn them on the third to seventh day... and subsiquently die.

Cool mod otherwise!
toomanynights 14 Feb, 2015 @ 12:33pm
@Farnsworth Yes, also experience that bug with no treeguards in DST. For 80 days of hard chopping only one treeguard appeared, and he came from... water. o__O
Just now I chopped for 6 stacks of wood in one day and no treeguards appeared.
UnderwearApprentice  [author] 13 Jan, 2015 @ 11:09am
@Brahmastra - I will look into it but I haven't had that issue, at least not in single player. Maybe something changed that I missed. I'll see what I can do.
Ramses 13 Jan, 2015 @ 8:22am
With this mod the treeguards no spawn, i used it in 1 world with 70+ days and no appeared even 1 treeguard in it(sorry my english is bad).
The Crooked 7 Jan, 2015 @ 6:54am
i wish to see those tree-life duration phases changeable in mod config. So host can decide how long its lasting

UnderwearApprentice  [author] 4 Jan, 2015 @ 8:57pm
@Spiral-Spy - They do get much bigger. Trust in the mod ;)
coiledAgent 3 Jan, 2015 @ 8:27pm
Post more pictures please?
I can't actually see any bigger or smaller than normal trees in the only available picture
UnderwearApprentice  [author] 1 Jan, 2015 @ 2:40pm
@Rellin - Nope
WindyCityShooter 1 Jan, 2015 @ 8:32am
Does this mod prevent treeguards from spawning?
opmmmgroup 30 Dec, 2014 @ 7:22pm
Luv the BAT... Big ass trees! :)
Silence Suzuka 28 Dec, 2014 @ 11:49pm
Thanks for that, i havn't made any mod myself, so i have no idea whether it will be very trouble or a simple thing. But basically i think you just need to use some variable which can be configured into the code where controll the tree's growth. I guess it may like this kind of things

tree.age()
if(age<3){
a small tree
}else if(age<6){
a midium tree
}else if(age<9){
a bigg tree
}

so if you use some variable to replace the 3,6,9 here it should work
UnderwearApprentice  [author] 28 Dec, 2014 @ 1:06pm
@Barneygoogles - That is how it works, but not so many pinecone drops. Not sure about them destroying nearby structures. I think it could be done though. I doubt I will add special drops.

@[A-Team]Great My Holy 152 - Seems like it would be more trouble than it is worth, but I will look into it.
Barneygoogles 28 Dec, 2014 @ 2:59am
It seems logical to have the 3 sizes larger to take 20,25,30 hits to chop down and to give 4,5,6 logs and 3,4,5 pine cones. Not sure if that's what happens. I hate to suggest a bad side effect, but since they are so large now maybe it by chance would smush other nearby plants when the largest tree falls...but also the largest tree might have other special drops too.
Silence Suzuka 18 Dec, 2014 @ 9:25pm
I mean maybe you can make it controllable by the player, in mod configure. Like i want the tree to grow up faster but stay longer in the "Biggest" level. So i go mods -> configure and set something like that.
UnderwearApprentice  [author] 17 Dec, 2014 @ 11:37pm
@[A-Team]Great My Holy 152 - Well, the trees will reach their initial levels in the same amount of time. The new sizes each have their own possible times to grow. They all have a random value applied to their grow time as well. So it is already controlling the time of the trees to grow. Did you mean modify the time to something other than what it is now?
Silence Suzuka 17 Dec, 2014 @ 11:30pm
Just want to know whether this make trees take more time to grow up? And do you have the drop list as you changed it?

BTW:I think you can expand this mod to control the time of a tree to grow up. Or even control the time they stay on each size(step).
