Would you take requests to do a mod that turns off all wheels on dirt sounds? It's frustrating to get the bug where you keep hearing it in space on a ship without wheels, just because you have a suspension for your landing gear and keen has refused to fix that bug for over a decade :(

How do you control the xwm file volume? I am adding audio to the sound block myself - however the audio sounds very quiet compared to the games other SFX

Not sure if it's just me but these sounds aren't showing up in the soundblock any more. It's also throwing a critical error on world load (not crashing the game though)

This mod is awesome! I'm building a replica of the pillar of autumn in singleplayer that is 1:2 scale with a full playable interior, and I set up the warning beep 1 from halo 1 which is the autumn's alert klaxon right from the game! I put a sound block in the ceiling above every rotating alert light, then setup two timer blocks, one to activate alert and the other to cancel alert. Then i made it so that when i press a button the interior lights go down, weapons power up, alert klaxon sounds, and rotating lights turn on red. So cool

Ok i found it. File Audio.sbc. Delete line <Start>Audio\SB\ALARM.xwm</Start> In loopable files. And they will work

I got an alarm for you! It's a reactor overloard alarm from Fallout: New Vegas. It shouldn't need much cleaning up if any at all as for a few seconds it's just the alarm with no sounds in the background.

Hi there,

Thank you so much for adding all these in on such a short notice. I really like the work you've been doing so far.

As for the naming, I think it's best to include maybe a short tag so we know it's from your mod and to keep the naming descriptive to what it is.
For instance,
[Klaxton] Slow Whoop Fulll
[Klaxton] Reactor Alarm 2
[Klaxton] Reactor Alarm 1
I don't know if the game allows it. In general, I would appreciate it if you could list it in alphabetical order and without underscores for spacebars to make it follow the vanilla formatting.
As for the clipping, I went through most of them and these are the things i Found.
Nostromo: After 6 times, I can hear the sound pause for a split second before it goes on another 6 alarms - it's not constant
Hackbuzzer: Personally I think the increase between each alarm could be just a tad longer.
True_Klaxton: Same as Hackbuzzer.

Overall though, most of them are really well done (even new things you added, such as the ambulance).

Also, @everyone: do you prefer the "nondenominational" descriptive naming and categorization I've used so far, or would you prefer names that name and categorize sounds by their source (i.e, all Half-Life 2 sounds would be grouped together)?

This mod doesn't add sound blocks, it adds sounds to the sound blocks, which are in the base game now. You should be able to find them just searching "sound" in-game.

Jelle: K-19 siren was suggested by me, I've always been rather partial to it and already had a 12-second loop I'd recorded for a personal project that never panned out. Curious if that's what the actual real thing sounded like, it's a pretty cool sounding alarm.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Re: Half-Life 2, I've acquired a raft of noises from that game and hope to get them added over the next couple weeks. Re: Ecto-1, if you can find me a good source, I'll include it.

You could also add the Overwatch Dispatcher voices from Half Life 2 - The wiki has some that could perhaps be used as a warning/alert sort of thing as well
