It refers to line 78 in the skins_api.lua, does anyone have a fix for this? I remember a couple years ago this issue came up, and the mod author had a fix for it, but I am unsure if they made another update.
good luck and happy modding everyone

This is my first time coding hence why I used the tutorial, just renaming files and editing the flavor text and it crashes. I literally have no idea what went wrong. The discussion thread on common problems during coding doesn't help either because again i'm doing the most basic stuff and i don't know code jargin
not sure how to fix this myself :/ and i havent found anything online just yet.
dont go into the zip and change anything because like you said, it compiles new ones.
at the very bottom you should see why the game crashed. Ignore the warnings
My game crashed a few times when I used a sample and it was because my pc rendered some TEX files as 3d instead of 2d when i used the Tex Creator.
the log file can be found in:
Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\
I followed the tutorial and when I want to play with the skin, the game just freezes when I try to enter the world for some reason.
you need to like open up the head, and then paste in a new head that is about the same size, and then save the file
you have to do this for all the body parts
if you keep them close to the same size and position of what he provides, they will work really good
I actually just got my first guy up and running
example:
default face = face-0.png
face-1.png and face-2.png appear to be key frames for a blinking animation, etc
the reason this would be great, ist because then I could easily just go find expressions for my character and paste them over
1. Where do you have your mod stored in?
2. You have mod tools installed, correct?
3. Is every single file renamed correctly to the character name you want? (Assuming you haven't changed it from esctemplate)
It also comes with Don't Starve Mod tools.
