Sorry, I didn't expect death would be very likely. I agree though. If I still had everything I needed to update this I would. Also no, I got the present models from Ezekel, who also worked on this colab and replaced the models of the bombs(explosive futballs) with those.

This level should've autosaved before the boss. I died from exploding presents. (Are those exploding presents from Delibird?)

Did it stop when you got out of the game and back in? I didn't expect that to happen. I think typeing -duck in the command line should fix the problem.

This specific map caused me to be stuck crouching. I have looked on multiple forums but it cannot revert it. The crouching was caused by the explosion that happened just befoe you had to put the orange core back on a rail, which it would not connect back onto.

apperently, one of my p2 files were corrupted. after verifying the game files the level runs smoother now.

I made my own laser with an env_laser and a script, so there isn't much more I could have done with the laser. When I made that part, my intention was to revisit the theme from each chamber in the series, But with christmas approaching too quickly, I settled for a much more traditional bossfight after a point. Although I still took the theme from the first map at the end of the bossfight, as I had already asked pomeran to include putting a present on the management rail in part 1. So pretty much I just had day 11 and day 1 themes in the map.
I'll take another look at sound balencing later this week. I thought I had it right, but I'll check.

I would have liked a way to skip the song after the credits were through as well, but i guess i can just hit escape and get the rating screen like that.

actually i couldn't hear the voices over the music and background stuff, my sound was (and always is) pleanty high (both are on max in the game). Fix that issue and when im not sick I'll give it another run and hopefully things will come out clearer. Still think the laser plug is a neat idea though, I would have liked to see more done with it.

@ts_mind_swept: I feel like this is my best bossfight yet. I plan on creating more in the future, so it would be really useful if you told me what was wrong with it. If you are having trouble hearing the voices, make sure to turn up your sound. The last dark room had a christmas song where each collaborator of the entire series took part in a lightharted 12 tests of christmas song. When the song would have ended, the level would have ended. Thanks for your feedback, sorry, but I don't actually think it's specific enough for me to make anything better next time. Your only detail was the sound not being loud enough, which was your own fault.

Very strange, and frustraiting, and annoying, and i couldn't hear what they were saying, not that it mattered. And I had cheats on in the last room so i killed myself with some rockets cause the things wasn't ending. x.x You're trying, that's what's important, but unfortunately it didn't turn out too well here I'm afraid. Don't know if its just cause im sick, but i did not like this map hardly at all either. 2/10

well apperently my game lags when the devil core is speaking and when GLaDOS is around (not during explosions) :(

I can imagine that during the explosions, but besides those, there is very little to the level that would create lag.

That was a last minute change. It was originally going to use a new mechanic, but there was a game-breaking glitch with it if the player jumped off at the wrong time that would keep the player from being able to move at all. It was difficult to replace it, and I'm not completely satisfied with what had to replace it. But after that point, I'm very satisfied with the map, and it's a shame you missed the bossfight. I'd suggest noclipping up if you don't have the dexterity to make that corner jump. I'm sure the bossfight would boost it up to at least a 2/10. :p

Climbing the wall is crazy difficult. I gave up. Not the point of Portal. Portal should be logical puzzles, not a display of micro-dexterity and mouse handling skills. Why not just make the ledges larger. 1/10. Boo!

Could you point me in the direction of whoever made the music for this map, and for map #10? I think the songs were very much in the Portal style and I wanted to see if there were downloads for them.

We originally planned on having all 12 maps, but time was short, and we had less help than expected. We started on this right after our halloween special, which was already released a week after halloween, so we really only gave ourselves a month to make the map. So we did have to cut a few corners, I still really like how it came out though.

Yeah, The new feature was really buggy, so I replaced them with little ledges that you can jump on. There is a hint that points to it, but it doesn't always work. It's a shame you couldn't figure it out. The map gets really good after that point.
